My Experience with Alpha-H Liquid Gold Intensive Night Repair Serum:
I bought this serum when my skin was behaving bad; I had lost my glow and developed skin pigmentation. I stumble upon this when I was searching for something to repair my skin and bring back the glow. It comes in pump packaging and the serum has a gel-like texture, but it is not bothersome and blends well. It has a very mild fragrance, which is similar to Alpha H Liquid Gold. It has a glycolic acid extract of 14%, so I did a patch test first and had no issues with it.
When I first used it on my face, I had slight stinging sensation, but it was gone within a few seconds. But, after continuous usage, I didn’t experience any more of that. Whenever I use a new product I use it on bare face after cleansing, without other products’ interference, so that I know how it actually works.
I could see the difference in my skin the next day itself. Yes, it’s that good! My face was brighter and had a mild glow just after the first usage itself. According to the instructions, this serum should be used on alternate evenings, so I was waiting badly to use it again. With continuous usage, it has removed most of my skin pigmentation and a few pimples that I was struggling with. It has made my skin clear and glowy, and there is no need of any foundation or concealer. I apply a BB cream, and I’m good to go. Since it contains high amount of glycolic acid, I am cautious and wear a sunscreen regularly since I’m prone to skin tanning. It has Vitamin A, Niacinamide and Vitamin E which is like a cocktail of all skin care needs.
Though it has Retinol and glycolic acid together, it is not overpowering or strong. It’s just right. And, I don’t need an additional moisturiser when I use this as it does not dry my skin out. My advice – do not use too many products along with this or similar acidic products since it will be too much for the skin. This is my most-loved-and-used serum and it has changed the appearance of my skin a lot. My skin is brighter, evened out and soft textured.
I only need a tiny amount of the product for my face and neck, so it lasts long! But, I suggest sensitive skinned beauties try it before going for the full product because it is slightly on the stronger side. I’m in my mid 20s, so I don’t know how it works on wrinkles and fine lines. Otherwise, this is a miracle product.
Overall, I love this serum. It’s my HG serum. I have never come across such an effective serum which gives desired results overnight.
