Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Conditioner Review

Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Conditioner

By Manisha Arora

Hello everyone,

This is my first article on IMBB, so obviously, I’m very excited to write this. I’ve been a silent reader of IMBB, but finally decided to share my review on a product that I’ve been using past two months or so. I hope you will enjoy reading this.

I’ve a bit dry and frizzy hair, so, I’m constantly in search of a shampoo and conditioner which can tame my unruly hair. A few months back, I visited Ambience Mall at Gurgaon and decided to visit Sephora for the first time in my life. 😛 Yeah, my first time at THE Sephora! 😀 I asked the overly-helpful sales girl to recommend a conditioner for my frizzy hair. She introduced me to Alterna’s Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Conditioner. I was quite doubtful about this product, given its price, but finally decide to give it a try. So, let’s see how this conditioner worked out for me.

Alterna+Bamboo+Smooth+Anti+Frizz+Conditioner

Price: INR 1,400 for 250 ml.

Shelf-life: 2 years.

Ingredients :

Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Conditioner 2

What the Product Claims:

This deeply penetrating paraben-free conditioner combines strengthening eco-friendly Bamboo Extract with smoothing Kendi Oil to banish frizz & tame split ends. Visibly transforms unruly hair leaving it strong, sleek, frizz-free & manageable. Formulated with Colour Hold technology. Safe for colour treated hair.

My Experience with Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz Conditioner:

One of my HG shampoo is Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Shampoo. I use this conditioner after my Oriflame shampoo. The conditioner comes in a sleek plastic bottle which opens by rotating the cap in anti-clockwise direction & closes in the clockwise direction.

The consistency of this conditioner is pretty thick as shown below.

Sorry, it’s such a funny picture! 😀

I usually take pea-sized amount of this conditioner and rub it between my palms, then spread it evenly along the length of my towel dried hair. I just wait for 4-5 seconds before washing it thoroughly with cold water. If kept for longer than half-a-minute, it makes my hair look sticky. So, I don’t think, it is meant for someone having fine hair. But it works great for me. It gives my hair a great shine, but nothing which screams A-R-T-I-F-I-C-I-A-L!

And definitely, my hair is much more manageable after using this conditioner. I’ve also noticed that my split ends have reduced considerably after using this product on regular basis. In short, I’m in love with this product. 🙂 🙂

  1. Welcome to IMBB Manisha….looking forward to many more great reviews from you 🙂 I don’t really mind silicones and sulfates in my shampoos nowadays 😛

    1. Thanks Jomol di 🙂
Even I don’t mind silicones and sulphates…most of the products contain them and we can’t ignore them all. 😀
