My Experience with Alverde Bio-Calendula Lip Balm:
The Alverde Bio-Calendula Lip Balm comes in a bright yellow and white twist tube. This is packaged in a cardboard which has a beautiful bright picture of calendula on it. It is easy to open and close the cap of the casing. The cap also closes tightly and there is no chance of it accidentally opening in the handbag or purse. It also makes a click when closed fully. The sound of it is so satisfying.
The packaging is very handy and can fit in most of the clutches or handbags or even jeans pockets. I always carry at least one in my handbag, one in the car, one in the bathroom. I can never live without lip balms. My lips need to be moisturized all the time. During the day I use matte lipsticks and my lips tend to dry out. So it’s important for me to moisturize them enough when I am not wearing any lipstick.
The Alverde Bio-Calendula Lip Balm is transparent and colorless. This kind of lip balms can also be used under your lipsticks. I do so most of the time. The consistency of the lip care is creamy and spreads easily over the lips. It does not feel sticky or oily. A thin layer of it does the trick before applying lipsticks. A thick layer of it overnight results in baby soft lips.
The ingredients include a variety of oils, making it suitable for everyday use. The lips tend to dry out very quickly especially during harsh winters and need that special care. The skin on the lips is so thin that it gets damaged easily. Lips also lack melanin, the natural pigments which protect us from harmful UV rays. Unfortunately, this lip product doesn’t provide the required UV protection.
Since it’s oil based it gets transferred easily when you drink or eat. This cannot be avoided and reapplication is a must. But during the night it stays out and does all the required nurturing.
It’s suitable for the night due to the fact that it has no UV protection and also it has no shimmer or color. It’s perfect for people who don’t prefer fancy lip balms. Overall, it’s a great product which results in baby soft lips.
