Banana is said to be one of the most nutritious fruits. From having it in our breakfast or making our smoothies we use banana ever single day. It’s available in almost all places and is cheap! However, after eating the banana what do we do? Throw the peel away? Well, it’s a shame that we throw the banana peel away. The banana peel is said to be rich in potassium and antioxidants, and has even more nutrition than the fruit! Better late than never, right? So today I will share with you some amazing ways of using banana peel.
Removing warts – Warts are something common these days. They are seen as a sign of potassium deficiency. One of the best ways of getting rid of warts is by using banana peel as they are high in potassium levels. Just wash the wart with soap and then cut a small piece from the banana peel. Next rub the inner part of the peel over the wart. It works best if you leave it over night. Just use some medical tape and place the peel over the wart. Within 10 days, the wart will be gone.
Teeth whitener – everyone wants a beautiful smile! However teeth whiting can be really expensive. The market has tons of toothpastes that promise white teeth, but they are full of tons of chemicals. Don’t worry! The banana peel will save you, just rub the inner part of the banana peel on your teeth. Do this for a few days, and you will see the difference.
Acne – another amazing benefit of the banana peel, is that it helps you fight acne! Just use the inner part of the peel and gently rub it around your face in circular motion for 2 minutes. Repeat this for a few days. The antioxidants in the peel, helps you get rid of the acne.
Itchy bites/inflammation – Many a times our skin just gets irritated and it’s itchy, or of course mosquito bites are so common. To get rid of any of that just hold on the back of banana peel or rub it around the area for a few seconds and voila you will have no more trouble.
Moisturizer – we all know that banana is great when it comes to moisturizing. Even the banana peel does a good job! If you have dry skin or dry knees or elbows just rub the inner part of the banana peel and your skin will be moisturized.
Skin brightener – Not only it will make your teeth white, but also helps your skin brighten. Just rub the inner part of the banana peel and leave it till it completely dries or 15 minutes, and wash.
Face mask – we all must have tried banana masks, but now give a banana peel mask a try! Just put the banana peel in your blender (after cutting in small pieces) and mix ½ cup coconut milk. This mask is high in antioxidants and nutrients and good for your skin.
Under Eye – looking for something to reduce the puffiness of your eyes? Just cut banana peels in shape that will fit under your eye and leave it there for a few minutes. It will help you reduce puffiness.
Reduce wrinkles – As always rub the inner part of the banana peel on your skin. You can leave it overnight as it will dry and not be a mess, see the difference in a few days!
Apart from these, banana peel is even edible and it is said that if you eat the banana with the peel you get double the nutrition! I haven’t tried it though, but some recipes are available online.
Do give these a try as natural ways to treat your skin are the best! Remember patience is the key. 🙂
Hope you have a lovely day!
