Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown Review

Ola bonita chica’s!

I hope you are all doing well and keeping your heat busters handy because it is literally sizzling up on the globe right now. Unless you are lucky enough to live down under, in which case please enjoy the snow for me! I have sadly been away from IMBB for a few days because I was sick with a stomach infection, please be careful eating out in this weather. Food goes bad so annoyingly fast. But while the rest of you is sweating it out, I have something that will last you through this mad heat without (literally) sweating your brow. Stick around and find out more about it!

The Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is a brow product that comes in a little glass jar with a screw top black lid with the Anastasia logo on it. The creamy product is filled inside.

Price
USD 18 for 4 gram of product

My experience with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown:

Where it might seem that $18 for 4 grams of product is very expensive I swear this thing will last you longer than its expiry date and you will have to literally throw it out once it expires. You need the very littlest amount of this product to do your brows so trust me it is well worth the money you spend on it.

What I do not like about this product is that you need a brush to use it of course, which Anastasia sells for another $18. You do not need this brush although it is extremely useful as it comes with a spoolie at the end but I have just cello taped a spoolie to an old extremely thin ended Avon brush I have which came with an old eye liner and has lasted me throughout the years. So as long as you have a precise brush, you will be okay to use this product. You cannot use a brush like the Real Technique’s brow brush with this product because you will look like Cara Delavigne’s eye brows on steroids with it.
This product is very creamy and soft in consistency but I really had to lighten it as I was using it. This shade was a little dark for my current NC 40 skin tone and I think the shade soft brown might be a better fit for me. If you are lighter than NC 30 I think the Taupe might even be better for you. This particular shade looked very harsh if I did not brush my eye brows with my spoolie and lighten them.

The good thing is that this product is like a brow primer and it does that while sculpting and shading your brows. However, this is not the best product for someone who is new to filling their brows. Also you know how you can use your powder to shade in sparse eye brows? You cannot do that easily with this product because your eye brows will look painted in. You have to use a very light hand and very soft, feather like strokes with a very thin and precise brush for this product to work. Once it is on though this product will not smudge or move even if you are sweating so you can ever wear this to the gym! This product is ideal for a humid climate so perfect for India and is also best for an oily skin type which is what attracted me to it in the first place. However the effort required to make this work still makes me wonder if it was worth it in the first place.

Pros of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown:

  • Very teeny amount goes a long way
  • Does not smudge or move once dry
  • Suitable for oily skin types
  • Suitable for humid climate

Cons of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown:

  • A very precise brush for application
  • Dries out easily hence must closed quickly
  • Eyebrows can very easily look drawn on with this
  • Needs to be brushed out with a spoolie to soften effect

Would I repurchase the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown?
I would maybe try a lighter colour for myself next time. I thought having brown skin meant I needed a darker colour but that was not true for this product at all!

Would I recommend the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown?
I think this colour is best for dusky beauties, I would recommend you get home samples and try finding the right fit for you before you buy. And buy this product if you are an expert at doing your brows because I cannot recommend this for a newcomer.

  1. I need this really… I am so high on brows
It is like no other makeup but brows need to be in ship shape 😛

  2. I have heard so much about this product, i really was keen at reading the review here. It looks good but i like more softer application of brows personally. May be because we indians are blessed with good brows naturally. Very good review and you have lovely brows. 🙂

“Cara Delavigne’s eye brows on steroids with it” lollll!!! 😀
