Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Chocolate (Titanium) Review, EOTD

Hello, ladies,

Today’s review is on another Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow. This one is from her Titanium range. ABH has a whole variety of browns in her eyeshadow range, and within this, there are a number of Chocolate shades namely, Chocolate Crumble, Chocolate Shimmer, Hot Chocolate and Chocolate (Titanium). Now that your mouth is watering from all that chocolate, let’s get started with the review.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Chocolate Main

Price: $12
Product Description:
A collection of single, fine-milled powder eye shadows in individual pans. Use Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles to create a professional-style four- or eight-pan custom, refillable palette.

My Experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Chocolate (Titanium):

Packaging: The eyeshadow comes packaged in an individual plastic sleeve, like a refill packaging. The same comes enclosed in a cardboard cover, which has the product name and ingredients mentioned on it. Apart from that, the name is also mentioned on the flip side of the eyeshadow itself. I think the packaging is excellent. Not a single eyeshadow was shattered upon arrival. The metal pans are easy to pop into a magnetic palette, like a Z palette. Alternatively, you can pick an empty palette from the ABH site.

Shade: The shade, Chocolate (Titanium) is a part of the Metallic Finish eyeshadows and is described as a warm dark brown with heavy shimmer. The description is apt. It is a warm, rich dark brown shade with a distinct sheen. In the pan, the shade looks as if it has glitter particles dispersed in it. However, it isn’t. The shimmer is more of a pearly sheen and doesn’t look prominent on the lids.

The shade is really easy to work with. Despite the sheen, it works well to darken the outer V or to darken the outer 1/2 or 1/3rd of the eye. I love combining the shade Copper Shimmer or Comfort with this shade for an easy and quick, warm toned eye makeup look.

In the EOTD I have shared, the shade Chocolate has been used in the outer half of the lid.

Texture: The texture is quite smooth, finely milled and creamy. It feels dense, like most eyeshadows that contain mineral oil. For example, The Juvia’s Place shimmer eyeshadows. Actually, the texture seems quite similar. The only difference being, the Anastasia Chocolate (Titanium) isn’t crumbly at all. Also, it doesn’t accentuate the texture on my “over the hill” eyelids. As far as the application is concerned, it is easy to apply and blend. It works well with other shades and meshes with them effectively.

Pigmentation: “Chocolate” has an excellent pigmentation. The shade shows up true to the pan. Even when I use it without a primer, the shade shows up in its true form. However, the primer affects the wear time but not the pigmentation of the eyeshadow.

Staying Power: I apply my eyeshadows over a primer because my lids are way too oily. The shimmery shades start to crease and mush. The shade gave about 8-8.5 hours of wear time before showing signs of fading. When I use this without a primer, I feel it starts fading in about 6 hours time, and the vibrancy of the shade starts going down. However, the shade does not crease on my eyelids with or without a primer.

Pros of Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Chocolate (Titanium):

  • A beautiful warm dark brown shade with a pearly sheen.
  • Excellent pigmentation.
  • Blends out easily.
  • It does not emphasise the texture of my skin.
  • Decent wear time. With primer: about 8-8.5 hours, without a primer: around 6 hours.
  • No fallouts.
  • Doesn’t crease.

Cons of Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Chocolate (Titanium):

  • Nothing at all.

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
Will I Recommend/Repurchase Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Chocolate (Titanium)?
In terms of quality, the shade is pretty much as good as Sangria. Even though Brown is not as exciting as the shade Purple or Cranberry, this is a good neutral shade and can sometimes be difficult to find. If you were making a neutral palette for yourself, I would definitely recommend Chocolate (Titanium) shade to be included in it. I find it very easy to work with.
