Hi everyone, 🙂
I am reviewing two eyeshadows from Anastasia Beverly Hills today. I have had them for a while but they got hidden somewhere in the back drawer. I found the palette a few weeks back again and have been giving the eyeshadows a go since then.

My Experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Metal and Gold Rush:
The two colors I am reviewing are
Metal: It’s a gorgeous metallic titanium color. It’s a mix of silver and gold and that’s what makes it quite unique. Super sparkly and shimmery.
Gold Rush: A metallic pale yellow gold. Has beautiful gold micro shimmers throughout.
Metal: Out of the two colors, I love Metal more. It’s such a unique color. I am not the biggest fan of silver on my skin tone, but this one is just a perfect mix of silver and gold. It’s neither too warm nor too cool. It’s neither too yellow nor too silvery. And, the gorgeous sparkles in metal are to die for. It’s like little diamonds scattered all around. You can use the color all over the lid or just on the inner corner. The base of metal is a bit sheer, so it can be layered on top of other eyeshadows as well. But, you can also build it up and make it super opaque. It’s easy to use. Even when you don’t want to wear anything on your eyes, just pop this on the center of the lid, and finish off your makeup look with an eyeliner. You are good to go with least amount of effort and a bit of twinkle on your eyes. 🙂 The shimmers don’t fall out and are evenly distributed through the eyeshadow. The closest dupe of this eyeshadow is MAC Vex in terms of color but this is shimmery at its best. NYX Platinum Silver is a close one.
Gold Rush: Gold Rush, a beautiful pale yellow gold eyeshadow with gold micro shimmers. It’s very pigmented. I find that it looks best when paired with a deeper eyeshadow color. On its own, it can look a bit sallow. But, it is your perfect bridal / Indian makeup look color bang on. That said, it is not the most unique color. You can find a gold color such as this in many other brands easily. The texture is beautiful. It’s smooth, buttery and blends in like a dream. Revlon Shadowlinks Gold, Maybelline Eternal Gold, MAC Goldmine and Gold from Lakme Desert Rose Quad are some of the dupes.
Quick Pros and Cons of Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Metal and Gold Rush:
- The buttery texture makes it easy to apply and blend.
- Very long lasting. I have worn both these eyeshadows for good 7-8 hours with a primer underneath and I haven’t
- seen any fading or creasing with them. They gold beautifully.
- Excellent pricing.
- Minimal Fallout.
- Work well both with brush and finger tips.
- The shimmers in both the eyeshadows are beautifully blended along with the eyeshadows.
- Gorgeous pigmentation.
- Wish they were easily available in India.
These are stunning eyeshadows. Both the colors are beautiful. But, as mentioned before I am a little biased towards metal for its unique color blend. Anastasia has a massive range of eyeshadow colors to pick from. I can’t wait to add more to my collection.
