So, this review is on another eyeshadow single from Anastasia Beverly Hills. This one was fairly easy to pick for me. Why? Because it is purple!! My Experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Opaline:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Opaline Review Packaging

Packaging: The shadows come individually packaged in a plastic sleeve-like refill packaging. The same is then enclosed in a cardboard cover which has the product name and ingredients mentioned on it. Apart from that, the name is also mentioned on the flip side of the eyeshadow itself. I think the packaging is excellent. Not a single of eye shadow was shattered upon arrival. The metal pans are easy to pop into a magnetic palette – like a Z palette. Alternatively, you can also pick an empty palette from the ABH site.

Shade: The shade Opaline is a pretty pretty purple!!! It is a shimmer shade, a medium bright purple with a metallic sheen. I’m a sucker for all things purple – lipsticks, eyeshadows, eyeliners and even nail paints. Unfortunately, it isn’t too easy to make good purples, at least, when eyeshadows are concerned. So, I keep searching on constantly.

I have also shared a dupe of the shade in my pictures. MAC Satellite Dreams is a fairly close dupe, though it has a tad bit of pink in it, while Opaline is fairly straight up purple in comparison.

In the EOTD, I have used Opaline on my lower lash line. I think it really makes the look pop. Yes, I know the purple lips also add to it!

Texture: The texture feels fairly smooth, though not buttery like that of Comfort or Sangria. However, it is still quite smooth. When swatches with the finger, it swatches okay – the pigment doesn’t glide across the surface like some shimmer shades too. However, I found it easy to pick up with a flat brush or even a fluffy crease brush. The shade transfers to the skin well and is easy to apply and blend. Once applied, it doesn’t accentuate texture on the eyelids.

Pigmentation: The shade has good pigmentation. It takes very little effort to apply and show up true to pan. In the EOTD, I have applied it on the lower lash lines with a pencil brush, which will obviously tend to show concentrated pigmentation. But, even when worked with a fluffy brush or a flat shader, it shows up fairly easily, at least, on my medium skin tone.

Staying Power: I’ve said this like a million times, I apply my eyeshadows over a primer because my lids are way too oily. Shimmer shades start to crease and become mush. This shade gave about 8 hours of wear time before showing signs of fading. With a primer, it does not crease on me and stays put.

Pros of Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Opaline:

• A gorgeous purple shade with a beautiful sheen
• Good pigmentation
• It does not emphasize texture of my skin
• Decent wear time; with primer, about 8 hours
• Did not experience any fall out with it
• Texture is easy to work with and blends out well

Cons of Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Opaline:

• Nothing at all

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Opaline?
It is such a pretty purple. I obviously love the shade. It is difficult to explain how this shade is so vivid and can still be made to look subtle and blended out. Totally worth and yes, I do recommend it!
