Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick – Madison Review

I was on a hunt for a good purple lipstick that would look flattering and should also go with the purple lipstick trend. Last spring Anastasia Beverly Hills launched her spring collection with a beautiful colour range. I didn’t like the formula earlier, but, recently she has reformulated her liquid lipstick, so, it was a great chance to try the new formula and have this beautiful purple shade. The shade that I will be reviewing today is Madison.

My Experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick – Madison:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a transparent tube with Anastasia Beverly Hills printed on the front and shade name at the bottom. This lipstick has a silver cap and the applicator is a doe foot applicator, which is perfect for me as they make the application easy and precise.

Review and Swatches: Madison is a stunning purple shade with pink undertones which make it super flattering on all skin tones. This is a very bold shade and not everyone can pull this off! The formulation of the newer range is better than the previous formulation. This lipstick glides on smoothly and is not at all patchy or streaky which was a major problem with the previous formulation.

Newer formulated Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks are highly pigmented and offer fully opaque coverage in a single swipe. These do dry pretty quickly. These dry down to a powdery matte finish and does not settle into fine lines on my lips. These have a very faint sweet scent. These felt quite comfortable on the lips but, were still drying on the lips, so I would suggest using a lip balm underneath.

Like any other liquid lipsticks, these do cling on to dry patches of the lips so, you need to prep your lips before applying it. These do not transfer also. After 2 hours of wearing, I could feel the dryness on the lips and after that, it felt a little uncomfortable on the lips. These lasted pretty well on the lips, I got 5 hours of wear time without eating and drinking. These were hard to take off so, I would suggest using olive oil to take these off.

• Hard to remove.
• Clings on to dry patches.
• Felt drying and uncomfortable after 2 hours of wearing.
