Hi everybody,

How are you guys? I am waiting eagerly for winters to come. Actually I am fed up of hot weather; I want to experience cold winds now. Though winters also take a toll here in north India, but still I would love to wear my warm jackets and wrap myself in cozy blankets, sip ginger tea and get up late in the mornings. 😛

Ok, coming to today’s review, it is another variant of Anna andre’s lip liner range. The shade would be perfect for winters I feel. Read on.

My experience with Anna Andre Parfait Lip Liner Pencil in Shade 50203:

This one comes in an ultra long pencil form- the longest pencil I have seen till date. The body of the liner pencil is black, though the last 1 inch is the same color as the shade is. It is easy to find in the kit owing to its length but difficult if you have more than one of these. The cap has a sharpener which is an advantage because you don’t have to search for sharpeners in your kit every time before using it. Though this sharpener is not that good to work with but it is fine; not that bad either.

This is a brownish maroon shade. A shade which would interest married females more but I have bought this to wear occasionally in winters. This is smooth to glide on but at the same time stiff enough to line the lips without breaking off. This does not tug and is very soft on the lips as a liner. If you try to fill your lips with this one, it would become a little drying. It does not look that dry but you feel it is dry- that’s all. That is not a problem with me though because I stick to using it as a lip liner only.

It does not let the lipstick bleed. It is not smudge proof or water-proof at the same time. It can be rubbed off with the fingers, like, it does not set. This pencil is not ultra soft, so chances of tip breakage are less.

The staying power depends upon whether we are using it with a matte or a creamy lipstick since it is itself not smudge proof or something. It can also serve as a good base for sheer glosses, dark lip color and light sheer gloss when combined together look awesome. Overall, anna andre offers reasonable liners with a variety of shades which can be experimented with. The quantity of product is an added advantage but some may find it difficult to work with such long pencils.

For the swatches I have lined my lips with this one and filled with VOV candy lipstick.

 

Pros of Anna Andre Parfait Lip Liner Pencil in Shade 50203:

• It is a very pretty shade for fall/winters. For married females it is a must have.
• It is smooth enough to glide on the lips.
• It is a long pencil which would serve for long too.
• It is available at a very reasonable price.
• So many shades to choose from.
• Can be used as a lip color with a lip balm beneath or over it.
• It would serve as a good base for glosses.

Cons of Anna Andre Parfait Lip Liner Pencil in Shade 50203:

• It is not smudge-proof or water proof.
• It does not stay for long.
• If it is used to fill the lips, it can be drying.
• Availability may be an issue for some.

Repurchase: No, as I would use this shade occasionally and it is already too long a pencil.

Recommendation: Yes for all married females, unmarried girls like me can decide on their own if they would wear such dark shade or no.
