I have been looking around for the perfect fall and winter eyeshadows. I am so tired of super glittery eyeshadows and especially overly bright ones, so I went to the mall and was browsing around and then I came across this palette. It is by Annabelle and it is limited edition. It is called the Fabulous4 eyeshadow palette which consists of twelve beautiful, wearable, fall and winter colours.
My take on Annabelle Fall-Winter Eyeshadows:
I was actually really surprised when I wore the eyeshadow because they are quite pigmented. The only thing I don’t like is that they do not last a long time. I would say that the eyeshadow stays on for two to three hours maximum. I would highly suggest wearing primer underneath to extend the wear of the eyeshadows. Overall, the colours are great. However, if I personally could design this palette I would make sure that there are at least six matte colours. All of these colours have a bit of shimmer in them, which I do not really find it to be convenient.
Pros of Annabelle Fall-Winter Eyeshadows:
Like I mentioned before, I love the colors. They go well with fall and winter. And the perfect thing about it is that you can easily create a smokey eye with them. In fact, I did not even have to use the brushes to create my smokey eye when I used this product. All I did was smudge the cream shadow and the second darkest shade and then towards the last I smeared on the darkest eye shadow colour.
Another pro would be the options this palette has. There are twelve gorgeous colours that you can pick from. So during the holidays when you have so many Christmas parties to go to, you do not have to repeat the same makeup look. You can just recreate the look using all of the different colours. Another pro is the packaging, it’s very minimalist. I like the whole black on black look, with the black brushes. It makes the eye shadow colours stand out way more. This is one of the reasons this palette stood out to me while shopping. The eye shadows are the focal point of the packaging. Lastly, I really like how these eye shadows look if you apply a bit of water in them. They look so creamy and rich; it looks absolutely gorgeous on your eyes, especially if you pick one of the purple or blue shades.
Cons of Annabelle Fall-Winter Eyeshadows:
There are a few cons to this palette. Number one being that the price is way too expensive. This palette cost me $14.95, if I were to buy a palette from Sephora or Mac I would not mind paying $15 – $30. But this brand isn’t as big as Sephora or Mac so I was a bit taken back with the price. Another con as I mentioned before is that there are no matte colours. I am not a big fan of glitter or shimmer, I will wear it occasionally. If there were more matte colours I think I would be able to use this palette on a daily basis because I could use it for literally every makeup look out there.
Another con is some of the eye shadows such as the cream-colored ones either don’t show or are way too bright. They make you look like a ghost which is absolutely horrible. Lastly, I don’t think this palette would suit everyone. It doesn’t have the right shades to suit every face out there; I’d prefer more neutral shadows so no one would get ripped off while buying this for such an expensive price.
