Ardency Inn Sunday Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments Review

Hello everyone,

Ardency Inn is one of those underrated brands which you don’t hear a great deal about. After being absolutely impressed with their eyeliners (Gold, Coffee, Black), I picked up a couple of shades from their best-selling range, which is the “Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments” having high expectations. Read on to know more about my experience with this product in the shade “Sunday.”

My Experience with Ardency Inn Sunday Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments:

Packaging:  This single eyeshadow comes in a small round case with a see-through lid. The lid closes securely with a click and is travel friendly. It easily pops out its container and the compact is magnetized, so you can customize your Z palette with these eyeshadows.

Texture:  This shadow is dense and has a very creamy feel to it. Even though it’s shimmery, it is not the slightest bit gritty.  It is pretty smooth and easy to work with. You can apply this eyeshadow with a flat eyeshadow brush or even use your fingers to pack it on. It applies and blends effortlessly.

Shade:  The shade “Sunday” is described as a universal beige pearl with gold and pink undertones. To me, it looks more like a pale beige gold with a pearlized/metallic sheen. The sheen is not hard to miss and it’s eye catching, but looks very subtle and gives the right amount of pop to the eyes while still remaining wearable even for day time. This shade is perfect as an all-over lid shade when you are creating a natural makeup look or as an inner corner and brow bone highlight, which is my preferred way of using it and I can use this as a complementing shade to my colorful eye look.

Pigmentation:  This shadow has amazing pigmentation. It can go opaque in one swipe and does not apply uneven. There is very minimal to no fall out. It’s also easy to blend with other eyeshadows. Such user-friendliness makes these eyeshadows a joy to use.

Staying Power:  Staying power is very good even on oily lids like mine. I noticed absolutely no creasing or fading for 8 hours (the time that I usually wear makeup for).

These eyeshadows are almost identical to the Kat Von D Metal Crush eyeshadows, which I am a huge huge fan of. They have an almost similar feel (the Ardency Inn ones may be just a tad bit creamier) and yield the same intense pigmentation and have the same great staying power. They come with the same price tag of $21 expect for the fact that the Ardency Inn eyeshadows are a mere 0.06 oz whereas the KVD shadows are 0.10 oz, making the former more expensive in comparison. This particular kind of pale gold shade is not yet available in the KVD line, so I cannot say there is a dupe for this shade too. But overall, I am equally impressed with both eyeshadow ranges and highly highly recommend it.

In the EOTD, I have Kat Von D Metal Crush shadow in the shade “Iggy” all over the lid with Ardency Inn Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigment in “Sunday” in the inner corner.  I have also blended a matte brown shade in the crease from my Viseart Dark Matte Palette.
