Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic China Rose Anti Dandruff Shampoo Review
Dandruff is a perennial problem and unfortunately, it seems to have become a part of my existence! I have been experimenting with a variety of brands to see which one proves to be the best and most effective in eliminating dandruff from my scalp. In course of my search for a good anti-dandruff shampoo, I came across Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic China Rose shampoo. Personally, I like Aroma Magic products a lot. So, I thought of giving it a try. Now that I have been using it for quite a few days, I think I am in a position to review this product for you all!
Price- Rs 120 for 120 gms.
Shelf Life– The shampoo is best when used before two years from the date of manufacture.
What does the Aroma Magic website claim about the benefits of this product?
It has been clearly written in the website as well as on the shampoo tube that ‘this natural creamy anti dandruff shampoo enriched with pure essential oils & herbal extracts. It eliminates dandruff, scalp infection, and relieves flaking and itching. It also helps to fight chronic dandruff without damaging your hair.’
Directions To Use- As you can already see in the image, the directions to use this shampoo have been provided in details. Wet hair; apply the required amount of shampoo and work up lather. Wait for five minutes and then, rinse. A few drops of Aroma Magic Flaky Oil added to a teaspoon of water have to be applied on scalp everyday. The shampoo needs to be used every third day until the scalp is clean. The shampoo leaves no toxic residue.
Active Ingredients– Extracts of hibiscus, Indian Pennywort, Fenugreek and pure essential oils of Eucalyptus, Basil and Rosemary.
My experience with Aroma Magic China Rose Shampoo- In the first place, I was really attracted to the tube in which the shampoo comes. The stout, transparent tube has shades of bright red on it and the light pink colored shampoo is visible from the very surface. The shampoo is thick and creamy. It looks more like a rich hand cream or a nourishing conditioner than a shampoo! It lathers really well and is perfect for my hair and scalp type (oily). Though I use it without combining it with the application of Flaky oil, it has been able to reduce my dandruff considerably. I use it every alternate day and the scalp feels so fresh! The smell is very similar to a combination of various aromatic oils and that is true for most of the Aroma Magic products I think; in short, the fragrance is very pleasing to the senses. But there is real problem in squashing out the shampoo at the time of use. No matter how hard the tube is pressed, it is a bit difficult to squeeze out the shampoo; that is because the shampoo’s consistency is too thick I guess. Besides, it tends to leak from the cleft under the cap. Moreover, the dandruff returns after a few days (that however, could be because I skip out the flaky oil part)! 🙁
Aroma Magic China Rose Shampoo Pros:
• The list of active ingredients shows that the shampoo contains the goodness of pure essential oils and natural extracts.
• It is not very expensive.
• It lathers well and cleans the scalp effectively.
• As claimed by the website, it does not damage hair and leaves no toxic residue. This is somewhat unusual when it comes to anti-dandruff shampoos. Indeed, it does not make the hair rough! No hair tangles and no coarseness of texture involved!
• It suits oily scalp type and removes sticky dandruff flakes efficiently when used regularly.
• The aromatic smell is very comforting and the baby-pink color is soothing.
Aroma Magic China Rose Shampoo Cons:
• The complete list of ingredients is absent.
• There is no mention of the hair and scalp type is it specially formulated for. There is no mention made whatsoever, of whether it is suitable for all hair types.
• Vigor is needed while squeezing out the shampoo from the tube and the shampoo tends to seep out from under the tube cap as well. So, there are chances of wastage and it may not be very travel friendly.
Shall I purchase it again? Yes; I am already planning to visit the store to buy one!
