Hi guys!

Today, I am reviewing a few products from the Astalift trial kit. Fujifilm created Astalift (Anti-Ageing skincare line) and Lunamer (line of products exclusive for women in their 20’s and 30’s and has acne skincare products also). Astalift makes anti-ageing skincare, base makeup, supplements and since this is the first IMBB review about the products from this company, I am going to add more information about each product that the company states on their website. There are more expensive trial sets from Astalift as well, but I chose the least expensive one.
There was also an Astalift lucky bag for ¥10,000. Lucky bags are a very modern Japanese tradition where every new year, lots of shops(including Apple Japan) sell lucky bags at catchy prices. You will not know what is in there when you purchase the bag, but you may find extremely expensive stuff sold at very low prices. It may be a bargain or a loss, so it is something like gambling! People queue the previous night and even camp out until the stores open in the morning (it is the Japanese equivalent of American Black Friday). I heard in one Apple bag for ¥30,000, they included a MacBook Air with lots and lots of other goodies! That is amazing and you should try it if and when you are ever in Japan.

About Astalift:
ASTALIFT is formulated with 3 types of collagen of different sizes, not only to hydrate skin surface, but also to effectively permeate deep into the skin’s stratum corneum layer. The 3 types of collagen act together to moisturise and enhance skin suppleness, as well as to enhance the collagen deep inside your skin. ASTALIFT is also powered by Astaxanthin, Lycopene and highly-permeable Resveratrol. Astaxanthin is an antioxidant that is 1,000 times more powerful than CoQ10 (Co-enzyme Q10). It protects the collagen within your skin from damage and maintains the skin’s elasticity and firmness. Like Astaxanthin, Lycopene and highly-permeable Resveratrol are antioxidants with age-defying properties.
All products are reddish-orange in colour due to Astaxanthin, one of the main ingredients of all their products. Astaxanthin is naturally anti-oxidative, that is, it helps combat active oxygen.
Price:
¥1400
This kit Contains:
2 Sachets of Jelly Aquarysta,
1 container each of cleansing gel, moisture foam, lotion, essence destiny and cream.
Astalift Cleansing Gel
Claims:
This gentle gel removes make-up residue, oxidised sebum and melanin leaving skin feeling clean, smooth and soft. When used regularly, skin becomes bright, radiant and supple.
Key Ingredients:
Astaxanthin Lycopene Collagen Damask Rose Citric Acid.
My Experience with Astalift Cleansing Gel:
Usually my bindi takes 3 to 4 passes with my regular makeup remover. This removed it literally in one swipe! This product is slightly transparent and its consistency is more like a very thick cream. But, when spread out on the face, it feels more like an oil. It also emulsifies when you add water. After rinsing it off with water, the skin still feels moisturized and not dry. This is great for removing waterproof makeup as well.
How to Use to Remove Makeup: Apply it all over the face (taking care not to enter the product inside the eye) and then add few drops of water and rub in circular motions. This is that one product that didn’t blow my mind. I feel there are a lot of drugstore equivalents which work just as well, if not better.
Astalift Moisture Foam
Claims:
This creamy moisture foam contains anti-oxidants – Astaxanthin and Lycopene – and hydro-soluble collagen leaving your skin fresh, radiant and luminous always.
Key Ingredients:
Astaxanthin Lycopene Collagen Damask Rose Shea Butter Jojoba Seed Oil.
My Epxerience with Astalift Moisture Foam:
This product foams up very well, but it isn’t very different than my Shiseido Perfect Whip. The consistency is like that of a thick cream. The skin definitely doesn’t feel dry after use even though you feel squeaky clean! Instead, it feels very soft after use. A little product goes a long way.
Astalift Jelly Aquarysta
Claims:
The epitome of all ASTALIFT’s products – Jelly Aquarysta, is a unique anti-ageing phenomenon for every woman. The uniquely named Aquarysta is derived from AQUA and CRYSTAL, which symbolises the light as water texture of the clear jelly, and the crystal-clear, moisturised skin it brings. It is the first product to be used right after cleansing / washing in your daily skincare regime, and before lotion and emulsion. This extraordinary revolutionary skincare formula targets visible signs of premature ageing: dark spots, lines and dull skin, delivering visibly younger, more luminous and ‘replumped’ skin.
Key ingredients:
Human-type nano-Ceramide nano-Astaxanthin nano-Lycopene highly-permeable Resveratrol Collagen Damask Rose.
My Experience with Astalift Jelly Aquarysta:
Its consistency is literally like an actual jelly. You are supposed to use this right after cleansing (before lotion). It gets absorbed into the skin quickly without any residue. It leaves my skin very plump and bright. Even though, I only got 2 trial sachets of this product, this is the one I am most excited about and the one I heard most good things about.
Astalift Lotion
Claims:
With super anti-oxidant Astaxanthin, nano-Lycopene and three types of collagens to enhance hydration, this rich pampering lotion also contains skin-loving Hyaluronan to help skin retain moisture. This rich textured lotion conditions skin to enhance penetration of Essence or Emulsion that follows next in one’s skincare regime allowing the skin to become supple and moist.
Key Ingredients:
Astaxanthin nano-Lycopene Collagen Hyaluronic Acid Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Damask Rose Citric Acid.
My Experience with Astalift Lotion:
Japanese lotions are most often compared to Western toners, mainly because they both have alcohol. The alcohol helps to penetrate the product deep into the skin and in no way is drying for me, personally. If not added, the product will tend to stay on the skin longer and feel tacky. Lotion is more often seen as a preparatory step, so that the next skincare product you layer gets penetrated better into the skin.
You are supposed to pat into skin with hands or a cotton pad. It looks like orange coloured water. This gets absorbed within about 30 seconds. This toner does not leave my skin as supple as the Shiseido Elixir Lifting Moisture Lotion, but I feel it is just as hydrating.
Astalift Essence Destiny
Claims:
Formulated with high concentrations of nano-Astaxanthin, nano-Lycopene, highly-permeable Resveratrol, Royal Jelly, skin firming Elastin and Collagen to effectively deliver anti-ageing goodness deep into the skin. Use regularly to feel the bounce and suppleness on skin. See your skin return with vigour and enjoy luminescent skin.
Key Ingredients:
Nano-Astaxanthin nano-Lycopene highly-permeable Resveratrol Collagen Elastin Royal Jelly Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Damask Rose.
My Experience with Astalift Essence Destiny:
Essence is essentially liquid serum. The Astalift Essence comes with a dropper and is of the same consistency as a thin serum. After applying the product, the skin feels sticky (not even tacky) for a few minutes. It is very hydrating and I reckon would prove great to clear up dry patches.
Astalift Cream
Claims:
This rich moisturising cream seals moisture within skin. Thus, leaving your skin smooth and resilient.
Key Ingredients:
Astaxanthin nano-Lycopene Collagen Royal Jelly Squalane Damask Rose
My Experience with Aftalift Cream:
The consistency is like a thin cream, but spreads and melts into the skin like a dream. This is the final product I use from the kit and finish off my skincare routine with it perfectly. I generally use it around the cheeks, chin and neck area because I find the Essence hydrating enough for my oily T-zone area.
Conclusion:
I can feel as I use all the products that they are high quality and a lot of thought and efforts have gone into creating these products. Jelly Aquarysta and Essence Destiny come under the Astalift Special Anti-Ageing skincare line, while the rest come under the Basic Anti-Ageing skincare line.
I am much more excited to try more products from the company, especially because this company’s products don’t get much talked about like Shiseido or Shu Uemura. The ingredients are pretty amazing as well.

• Great value for money.
• Great for travel.
• You are set for skincare even if you buy only one kit.
Cons of Astalift Anti Aging Skincare Range:
