Aura Cacia Tamanu Oil Review

Aura Cacia Tamanu Oil Review

I discovered Tamanu oil when I was searching for natural ways to produce collagen, in order to rejuvenate the skin and especially heal scars caused due to acne. The common way to treat scars is by the use of retinoid, dermabrasion, fractional laser etc. I have a few pitted scars, for which I thought spending an exorbitant amount doesn’t seem viable. Read on to find out how Tamanu oil came to my rescue!

My Experience with Aura Cacia Tamanu Oil:

I started using this, in addition to Rosehip oil, about six months ago when I had an acute episode with acne. Thankfully, they weren’t the cystic kind, but they were persistent and would leave marks and scars behind. Since I’m a believer in natural ways to treat any ailment, I did a lot of research before I found this and decided to give it a shot.

The green colored oil comes in a convenient pump bottle and has a distinct nutty odor. I wasn’t a fan of the smell, but I’ve become much more comfortable with it now. It is thick and greasy, quite contrary to the Rosehip oil. I started massaging a pump of this mixed with a pump of Rosehip oil, every night before I slept. I did this very regularly for a month, during which I noticed that I wasn’t getting any new pimples, but the old ones, along with marks and scars still seemed to remain. In the following months, I wasn’t regular with the regime, but I was consistent. I also became much more aware of what I was putting in my body and started becoming a little more health conscious. My skin changed gradually. On nights I’d put this, I’d wake up with a face feeling so soft, nourished and glowing. Eventually, except for just one or two very tiny pimples, my skin became much clearer, but I still had dark marks and some scars. I didn’t realize how awesome this stuff was until I was forced to use this regularly with the Rosehip oil (I ran out of my night cream). In about 3 weeks, the marks have completely gone and the size of the scars have seemed to reduce. I cannot give the entire credit to Tamanu oil in helping me heal my skin, but I can’t rule it out either. I’m going to continue using this and Rosehip oil until I find something else to beat it!This stuff is magic with many benefits, most of which have been highlighted in my previous post. Occasionally, I love using it at the tips of my hair as a serum.

If you wish to start using this, you definitely need to give it some time. Most of the pros are exactly similar to the Aura Cacia Rosehip oil. It took me around six months before I could confirm this a HG! Since the process is so gradual, it’s hard to figure out at the beginning if it is even working. However, patience is the key here my friends 😀

Pros of Aura Cacia Tamanu Oil:

 Makes skin soft, supple and glowing.
 Helps prevent formation of new acne.
 Helps reduce acne marks gradually.
 Helps reduce pitted acne scars gradually.
 Moisturizing.
 Can be used as a night serum.

Cons of Aura Cacia Tamanu Oil:
