My Experience with Australis Cosmetics Midas Touch Serum Primer:
The packaging of the “Midas Touch Serum Primer” is similar to any serum primers; it comes in a pink glass dropper bottle. Though the bottle is a bit bulky, it is easy to use and looks sophisticated. More than the packaging, I like the name of this product; it’s cool and reminds me of the King Midas who was so attracted to gold. I am so impressed with seeing that how much thoughts they have put in naming the product.
The primer itself is a thick goopy essence, which is pale gold in color. There are tiny golden flecks in the serum which makes the product way posher. Though the serum is a bit thick, it gets absorbed into the skin easily, but one thing which I noticed was that I could see the gold flecks on the skin after blending. The golden flecks don’t blend into the skin and they stand out. They are not bothersome and they do vanish after some time.
The primer is super hydrating and makes the skin very dewy and glowing. It makes my makeup stay super long and does its job effectively. It makes my makeup go on smoothly on the skin. Though I like it on its own, my most favorite way to use it is to mix it along with other products. OMG! It’s an awesome multitasking product. I usually like mattifying primers, but I am not a fan of dewy primers, so, sometimes I mix this serum with my mattifying primer, and boom, I get a super glowing dewy yet mattified skin. I also mix this with my moisturizers, and sometimes, I also mix it with my foundations. It makes any product dewy and gives a nice subtle glow to the skin.
I am in love with this serum primer. It is such an excellent multitasking product. It is a dewy primer, not a pore refining primer, but it does hide the pores to an extent.
Overall, I am super impressed with this Midas Touch Primer. I use it every single day in multiple ways to achieve a hydrated, fresh, dewy, primed and glowing skin.
