Australis Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow: Mermaid and Sea Urchin
Product Description:
New Australis Mineral Eyeshadow, an all-natural mineral make-up, free of chemicals and fragrances. Containing high quality natural ingredients, this mineral eyeshadow has a long-lasting intensity that demands attention without creasing.
The special formulation does not include classic “irritants”, such as fragrances, binders and synthetic dyes, so it is considered “purer” and kinder to sensitive skin.
Australis Mineral Eyeshadow comes in range of extremely wearable colours including:
- Deep Blue Sea – Blue.
- Mermaid – Green.
- Mother of Pearl – Pearl.
- Sea Urchin – Brown.
- Treasure – Pink
It’s back to nature with the simple beauty of Australis Mineral Eyeshadow.
I am trying out this brand for the first time and I believe these must have been picked up on some clearance, but these are originally AUD 9.95 each. One of them broke in transit, but it is still usable I am very sure, though I am not going to be trying out all the pressing with alcohol business with this, but the shattered eyeshadow can also be picked up with a brush or transferred to a stackable tub that I got from UK.
As for the shadow, these are mineral shadows and are made with natural ingredients, free of chemicals and irritants. Now, when I swatched this for the first time, I could see the difference at once. These may not be one of the most pigmented shadows I have used, but they feel so mild and gentle with a decent amount of color to it and the kind that can be definitely built up.
Both the colors are amazing and usable and go on very very subtle and glide on smoothly. These really blend softly and don’t leave any harsh lines that need to be blended. The container is pod kinds with a lid that is attached to it. No brush or mirror is supplied which is fine by me and there is just soft color that is packed inside.
The “Mermaid” one is soft green and feels very soft when you wipe the finger across. This applies softly and looks very mild. I am not impressed with the pigmentation, but is fine enough to layer or use it casually, which is even better. This shade could have been a mild duochrome shadow, but this one has a very slight gold sheen to it on a closer look, but nothing much. It’s a pretty soft green and very wearable for people who would never wear green.
The shade “Sea Urchin” is a plum-brown kind of shade and absolutely soft matte, no shimmer and no sheen at all. This is a fantastic shade for the crease work as it doesn’t look stark and blends very beautifully and soflty. People new to shadow can also wear these kind of shades all over the lid for a soft smokey eye.
Both the shades may need some good base for the real color to come out as these are very soft and mildly pigmented. These do stay on for me for around three to four hours even without base and kind of absorb the oil on the lids and don’t crease that badly. The shadows may be powdery, but not chalky and hence the fallout is really minimal.
Last Word on Australis Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadows: Mermaid and Sea Urchin:
These are fine shadows, nothing that I am floored about. These are daily wear, not much pigmented, do not look “in your face” even if you wear them daily. These eyeshadows are soft and mild.
