Hello lovely ladies,

I have some exciting news for you all. Yesterday, when my hubby came back from his office, he told me that he saw two of his female colleagues browsing through IMBB and was showing a product review to a fellow Australian, suggesting them to buy it as it had good reviews on our blog. I was really happy and excited to know that IMBB has reached great heights around the world. Indeed, I was feeling proud to be a part of this amazing clan. So, today I am going to review “Mix It Colour Correcting Foundation“ from a famous Australian beauty brand called as “Australis Cosmetics.”

My Experience with Australis Cosmetics Mix It Colour Correcting Foundation:

Australis is one of the famous drugstore beauty brands in Australia. It is a 30-year-old brand and focuses on beauty products for face, lips, eyes and beauty tools. They do ship all over the world. The product which I picked up is a liquid foundation. This particular item caught my attention because of its features. It claims to contain all colour-correcting pigments to make our face flawless. This foundation has orange pigments for correcting dark circles, purple pigments to remove dullness and green pigments to neutralise pigmentations.

There are only 6 shades available and they are n*de, beige, natural beige, natural fawn, natural tan and golden tan. I chose the shade natural tan and I was really excited to try it. This foundation has an added SPF 25 which is good. The foundation also contains ingredients such as Argan oil, Pomegranate extracts, Vitamin E and Pink Grapefruit essential oil and Licorice Root which helps in providing nourishment and hydration to the skin.

Packaging: The foundation comes housed in a small soft squeezy plastic tube with a black lid that is sturdy; it is a simple yet elegant packaging. It is very user-friendly and travel-friendly.

Coverage: The foundation has a light to medium coverage. It can be layered but, it turns to be an oily mess. It has a thick liquid consistency and provides a satin dewy finish to the skin.

Application: The shade didn’t match my skin tone at all. Yes, it appeared too white on me and looked fake on my skin. There was something wrong in the formula; the pigments in the foundation made my skin look very greasy. I was incredibly impressed with the ease of application as it glides smoothly thereby, providing a seamless finish.

I find that this foundation leaves a super greasy finish on my skin. It gets into all the pores and creases and amplifies them. It doesn’t set. Even when I try to set it with a powder, my skin still looked greasy. I also think it doesn’t do anything about colour correcting the redness, which is totally disappointing for me.

Staying Power: It stays for almost 2 hours and then it gets very oily. I don’t feel comfortable wearing this foundation. It oxidises as hell, which is a major drawback. Thus, this product didn’t really work for me. It smells really nice (citrus) and has quite a good packaging but, this is one of the worst foundations I have ever used.
