Australis Cosmetics as a brand has been in the market for quite some time now and is pretty well-known drugstore makeup brand. Today, I’ll be reviewing their Best Seller/ Award Winning Velourlips Matte Lip Cream for you all. To know if it was a Yay or Nay, keep on reading further!

My Experience with Australis Cosmetics Velourlips Matte Lip Cream Doo-Bai:

Packaging: There is nothing out-of-the-box about packaging. It comes in a regular lip gloss type tube packaging with doe foot applicator which is sturdy and gives an even application. The shade of the lipstick is completely visible as the tube is transparent with a black glossy screw cap. Brand name and details are mentioned in black on the tube and shade name is glued at the bottom. Overall, standard and travel-friendly packaging.

As it is a liquid lipstick, let’s talk about its texture first. It glides on creamy and dries suede. As claimed by the brand, the formula is 100% non-flaky. It does not bleed, does not clump and stays put for literally the whole day. Secondly, the pigmentation, color is completely opaque and there is no need for a second coat. Doe foot applicator is standard but gives non-streaky full coverage in just one swipe.

Talking about the wearability, I was seriously impressed with this one. I tried it when I had to spend the whole day outdoors, and during that time, I ate (oily food), drank, munched and remained outdoors in humid weather, and still, it was on until the very end of the day. Of course, it faded a little but still looked manageable without touch ups. I had to remove it at the end of the day with a makeup remover to get the last bit of color off of my lips.

Comparison: I would compare it with ColourPop matte lip creams because they flake on my lips, does not stay for long and are extremely drying. Whereas, Australis lip cream is completely non-flaky, creamy and non-drying. Pigmentation is amazing as well. I would prefer buying Australis over ColourPop.

Overall, I am really impressed with this brand. I feel Australis is an underrated brand; they have good products but they are not that famous like ColourPop or Maybelline. I also bought their Cya Pore Minimising Primer which I will review soon.
