I am a huge fan of loose and setting powders since I have oily skin and makeup meltdowns are a reality for me. I had imagined this powder to be a loose powder, but instead, it turned out to be like NYX HD Powder and LA Girl HD Powder. So basically, this is a colorless powder with silicone smoothness to it. It feels silky and makes your skin feel silky too.
Your gorgeous make-up remains just-done through the day with a help from the Ready Set Go Translucent Finishing Powder by Australis Cosmetics. Like a dream to apply with its velvety texture, this powder softens the appearance of imperfections and blurs fine lines, without changing your natural contours. The oil-absorbing formulation keeps pores and uneven surface texture concealed while maintaining skin’s natural moisture. Acts as a skin protectant and mattifying agent. High definition product. Helps in setting makeup. 100% vegan friendly. Not tested on animals. No palm oil used.
My Experience with Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder True Translucent:
As they claim, this is a high definition product. You can use it to mattify skin, to blur pores, to set makeup gently and to touch-ups throughout the day.
The powder feels so silky smooth and has a slip to it, exactly like the other HD powders that I have used. The tub is hard to travel with because the powder does spill over into the cap. There is no puff provided. This is so tricky to use because due to the silkiness, the powder is difficult to pick up on a brush.
This powder does not get absorbed like a compact or loose powder – it sits on the skin like a layer, blurring pores and wrinkled skin to an extent.
I don’t think this powder is ideal for baking since it just sits on the skin. This powder completely mattifies my skin, adds a little brightness with its slightly white color and blurs pores. I love to use this to mattify my forehead and sides of the nose. It helps to set foundation only to an extent unlike the setting powder or banana powder. If you have dry skin, this powder might even annoy you because it will add a slight white film on your skin. on oily skin, this will do wonders. It does not add color to the skin, but if you add too much, it might look chalky and powdery. Very light dabbing is enough, but when you use it, the powder flies all over the place and you end up inhaling some.
Pros of Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder True Translucent:
- Soft and silky.
- Mattifies skin instantly.
- Can be used to set or refresh makeup.
- Blurs the look of pores to an extent.
- Almost colorless.
- Great for oily skin.
- Need very little.
Cons of Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder True Translucent:
- Tub is difficult to chuck in the handbag, could be messy.
- No applicator provided.
- Flies everywhere since it is hard to pick up on the brush.
- Could be chalky and white if you apply more than a dab.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder True Translucent?
Well, if you like HD powders, you will like this, but if you like some color to your powder and like to bake your makeup, this may not be perfect. I recommend this to oily skin rather than dry skin.
