My Experience with Avalon Organics Awapuhi Mango Therapy Deep Moisturizing Shampoo:

Packaging: The shampoo comes in a cute violet-blue plastic bottle that is 100% recyclable. It is sturdy and travel friendly too. The bottle has a press open nozzle that is quite easy to handle. I really love the look of this shampoo and believe me, the term “Organic” and these killer looks were enough for me to purchase this bottle.

Consistency and Smell: The shampoo is a transparent gel which is neither too thick nor thin. It just has a perfect consistency. The shampoo smells gingery, but sweet.

Efficacy: I know everyone reading this review would have found the ingredients list very impressive! But, looks can be deceptive! Well, in case of this shampoo this statement is partially true. I have mixed feelings about this particular product, but I am pretty sure I can review this for all of you. So, let me pin down some major things that I love about this shampoo:

• The shampoo is an excellent clarifying cleanser as it cleanses my scalp very effectively without drying it much.
• It imparts lovely shine to my tresses.
• The shampoo is 70% organic, that’s very impressive.
• It does moisturize hair, but that’s a negligible effect I can say.

I am unhappy with this shampoo because it doesn’t lather much and it ruins my hair if used on the day when I have oiled my hair, even after emptying half the bottle, my hair remains oily! And excess amount turns my hair into dry straw. Very bad! I only use this as a clarifying shampoo and never ever dare to use it on oiled hair! A teaspoon amount is enough for my medium length hair.

Cons of Avalon Organics Awapuhi Mango Therapy Deep Moisturizing Shampoo:

• Creates a havoc on oiled hair.

  1. Oh no! After reading the mango shampoo title , I was like oooo I want this as my next shampoo …but sadly if it dries hair , then it`s a no-no. It doesnt have Lauryl or laureth sulphate – which is a plus point though.

  2. I have used this shampoo and it’s quite nice. I have stopped using it because at that time I had decided to not to buy shampoos which contain sulphate or paraben. And it does have sulphate, however mild it be. It doesn’t lather much because it have mild surfactant as it’s ingredient. I think the reason it doesn’t worked on your oily hair because it is meant for dry and brittle hair, as mentioned on the bottle.

  3. I did try using it once but it almost spoiled my already dry frizzy hair. Even the smell seemed chemical like to me
