Avon Naturals Oil Control Gel Lotion Review

Avon Naturals Instant Oil Control Gel Lotion Review
Hi everyone,
Hope you all are doing great. Today I am going to review Avon natural’s Instant Oil control gel lotion. I have super oily skin which breaks out most of the time. As far as I can remember I started treating my acne around 9 years back. They come and go on and off. Though now I have given up all hopes of having a clear blemish free skin but still keep getting tempted on buying products which claim to control the excessive oil secretion.
I was attracted to buy this product as it claimed to contain tea tree which I know is quite good for the acne. Also, it was a gel lotion and I had read it somewhere that Oily skinned people instead of using moisturisers should go for gels, so instantly I ordered this product.

What the product says?

A clear liquid gel enriched with natural tea tree extracts which provides skin instant and long lasting (8 hours) oil control. It hydrates to soften and improves skin clarity and suppleness- leaving skin looking naturally refreshed, clear and healthy.

My take on Avon Naturals Oil Control Gel Lotion
It comes in a small white and green plastic bottle with a flip cap. The liquid inside is not too runny yet the consistency is not too thick, it is a transparent gel which exudes the smell that reminds me of fevicol. It does not get absorbed to the skin and after a gap of half an hour or so you can feel your face to be sticky forget the oil control part anyways. Since the face gets sticky, it invites dust and other particles on to the face. It claims to be dermatologically tested and non commodogenic but you surely get the feeling that your pores are getting blocked due to the dust and sweat being settled on the face. I had expected a lot from this product but it turned out to be a disaster. It doesn’t do what it claims, on the contrary you get what you are trying to combat through this product and that is more oily face with blocked pores and break out.

The shiny liquid in the above picture is the Gel.
Pros of Avon Naturals Oil Control Gel Lotion:
1. It contains tea tree which is very good for oily skin.
2. Dermatologically tested.
Cons of Avon Naturals Oil Control Gel Lotion:
1. It doesn’t do what it claims.
2. Contains parabens and alcohol.
3. Makes the face sticky.
4. Does not get absorbed into the skin.
5. Has a very peculiar smell which resembles fevicol.

Will I buy again?
No, never, it’s a sheer waste of money!
