Avon Naturals Tea Tree Oil and Green Tea Purifying Face Wash

Avon Naturals Tea Tree Oil and Green Tea Purifying Face Wash Review

In the current campaign avon came with a new fairness range as well as a tea tree range for oily skin. now I was quite looking forward to the new range typically for oily skin as the sound of tea tree is soothing to oily skin . They came up with the whole range to take care of including facewash, toner, moisturiser as well as a purifying mask as well. Now the key word here is tea tree and also the green tea as it just spells refreshing for people like me with oily skin. 🙂 I was mighty impressed with their glow cleanser earlier which had scrub granules and its was a transparent gel form of a facewash with soft scrub granules which used to dissolve with the massage on the face. Now sadly that is been discontinued because of these two new range of products that have come up and I just have some half tube of glow cleanser left with me 😥 I am not at all interested in the fairness face cream and lotion as I know they are all run of the mill catering to the huge fairness oriented market in India. But I got the fairness facewash as well hoping it would be similar to the earlier glow cleanser. But to my surprise it was more like the ponds white beauty facewash :silly: on the other hand the tea tree one had turned out to be very similar to the earlier scrub form of glow cleanser just that instead of pink it turned green including the granules

About the new tea tree range from avon:

The range is meant to cater to all the four needs of oily skin (scrub included in the facewash for everyday scrubbing. For me oily skin scrubbing is crucial to get rid of the debris but here there is no separate scrub for that and the scrub granules take ce of the scrubbing part 🙁 the toner and then the lotion meant for oily skin(if you do remember they had a tea tree facewash and a gel lotion earlier too and this time they upgraded and launched an entire new range with newer packaging.

Toner : tea tree oil and green tea purifying toner:
A quick absorbing toner that reduces the appearance of oil and impurities. Lightly fragrant. Visible tightens pores.

Tea tree oil and green tea purifyling lotion :
Contains silica shells known as oil absorbers.light weight lotion hydrates skin and leaves it with a fresh afterfeel.

Tea tree oil and green tea purifying mask:
Reduces the oil and skin shine appearance and leaves skin totally revitalised

Coming back to the facewash that I got:
Price Rs 149 but 99 on introductory offer.

avon teatree cleanser

My experience with the face wash:I am a sucker for scrub granules in face washes and gentler the better, I love this facewash as I need very little of this once per day and it has scrub beads which I would love at the end of the leaving me clean and fresh. I love to sometimes steam my face and use this post steaming . It is almost transparent gel with green micro beads for scrubbing which may be a little too much for everyday scrubbing but I suggest you take very little of the amount. It doesn’t lather much honestly and remains a thick gel even on massage and the beads dissolve down. It smells soapy and not at all of green tea . 🙁 I like it as a maintenance facewash and I did not have any break out prior to this or post usage and so like this one . It’s a nice clean fresh scrub face wash which is most suited after u come back home from a polluted environment. You can skip this on days u don’t feel the need to scrub when you don’t leave home. it feels a little like the blue garnier facewash with scrub granules but the beads are bigger than that.
The tube is too big and long for me and there is no way I can carry this in my clutter bag even though it has a flip cap. I wish they had come up with smaller tubes though.

Last word:

I would not say the beads are mild enough but I think oily skin will like this face wash and the range too. It’s a nice regular facewash for oily skin and I don’t have any complaints . The non comedogenic and all claims look good. The range and the ingredients look promising. It’s a gentle product too . I am not sure how we girls would take to the higher side of procing when there is no discount available :struggle: do not use it over your existing acne or pimples.the size of the tube is not to my liking though!its worth a try .But I would still miss the previous glow cleanser .
