Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion Review

Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion Review

Hi Everyone,

I shall be reviewing a body lotion by Ayur today. I have been using its cleansing milk for a very long time and I am quite happy with it, so just to try out other products, I got myself the body lotion as well.

Ayur Body Care Lotion

Product Being Reviewed:

Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion Cocoa Butter.

Price/ Packaging/Quantity:

INR 40 for 100 ml. It comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a brown flip cap. Since it says it contains cocoa so I am assuming the colour of the flip cap has been kept brown just to add to the cocoa effect. The flip cap is sturdy and clicks shut when closed. Nice, sleek, slender bottle.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Parafinum,Liquidum, Glycerin, CCTG, Emulsyfying Wax, GMS, Cocoa Butter, Aloe Vera Extracts, Cetyl Alcohol, Bees Wax, Tinovis ADM,Dimethicon, VitaminE, EDTA, TEA, Imuderia, Methyl Paraben,Propyl Paraben, Colour, Fragrance.

Product Claims:

Cocoa Butter has been used for centuries by native women from all over the world to soften and soothe dry skin. This extra rich moisturiser maintains the natural moisture balance. Its smoothy creamy ingredients leave the skin looking and feeling velvety smooth to the touch and is great for normal to dry skin.

My Take on Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion:

It is a cream-coloured thick lotion which spreads easily. It is also absorbed within a few seconds which is a plus point during this scorching summers. Some of the body butters I have used just refuse to enter the skin (may be they are meant to be used in winters when our body needs extra moisture).  For summers, I guess this light lotion should be perfect. Coming to the fragrance, it smells very mild and pleasant though I couldn’t smell cocoa or aloe vera. Neither the hands nor the body feels sticky after application. My skin feels moisturised and soft for a couple of hours, I guess it is owing to the ingredients (vitamin E, aloe vera, bees wax, etc) in this lotion.

Summing the pros and cons:

Pros of Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion:

  • Lightweight body lotion.
  • Absorbs quickly into the skin, apt for summers.
  • Skin feels soft and moisturised.
  • Has some very nice ingredients like bees wax, cocoa butter and aloe vera extracts.
  • Sturdy packaging.

Cons of Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion:

  • Though I have been praising some of its ingredients, still the complete list is a turn off as they have used certain abbreviations in the ingredients list. Also, it contains alcohol and paraben.
  • I doubt its efficacy in winters as at that time, the skin needs extra moisturisation and this seems to be a lightweight lotion.

IMBB Rating:

3.85/5

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Ayur Herbal Body Care Lotion?

I shall not repurchase as I have ample body lotions which I love to the core and would love to buy again. You may try it once if you wish to have a change from your daily moisturiser.

  1. I have used this one..when compared to vaseline cocoa butter ..it will make your skin bit sticky and it will take more to time to absorb completely in your skin..
