Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule with Green Tea Extracts Review

Hello IMBBians,

Two of the products I love from Balea are their masks and concentrated capsules. They are handy especially when traveling. I recently picked up some face masks and capsules from Balea when I spotted the DM Store in Prague. Today’s review is all about Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule. Read on to know more!

Price and Quantity:
$2 for 7 capsules
Product Description:
The Balea Eye Concentrate with cell-protective vitamin E reduces the fold depth when used regularly. Your eye area looks smoother, looks refreshed and radiant. Extract of the green tea soothes and protects the skin against damaging influences and counteracts the effects of the light-conditioned skin aging. Night candle oil is rich in essential fatty acids and gives a soft, silky-tender skin feel.
How to use: Unscrew or cut off the cap. After cleansing, apply the concentrate with the fingertips around the eye and, if necessary, apply to eye rings and tear bags. Gently massage. Regular use (one capsule per day) is recommended. Capsule content is enough for one application.

My Experience with Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule with Green Tea Extracts:

Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule with Green Tea Extracts Review Packaging

The capsules come in a green hint cardboard package. It is similar to a capsule strip. There are 7 capsules in it. There is all the necessary information on the back of the cardboard package but it is all in German and understanding it can be a bit difficult. Once you open the sealed cardboard pack, the capsule sheet can be easily removed. There is little information on the strip too.

The capsules are light yellow-gold in color and are shaped like a tear drop. I have a weird feeling that the design looks similar to a leech with a big mouth! I do not like the shape as it gives me creeps! But, other than this, the capsule is made of rubbery/silicone like material and is easy to open to dispense the serum in it. One capsule has enough quantity to soothe both the eyes. There was a little product remaining which I used on my husband’s eyes too! So, it is more than enough for 2-time application and for a treatment for a week.

Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule with Green Tea Extracts Review Back

The capsules are enriched with Green Tea Extracts and Vitamin E and it is claimed to reduce lines/tiredness and enhance a radiant look. The serum has a sticky gel-like consistency and is transparent. The smell is just awful! I was not sure if it had to smell like this but when I bought the second strip too, it smelt weird! I don’t like the smell at all! The smell stays for a while post the application and fades away. The serum feels just like Vitamin E capsule when applying on the eyes.

I smear the serum around my eyes with my ring finger and leave it on. The serum gets quickly absorbed by the skin and doesn’t leave any residue behind. It instantly brightens up the eyes filling in the necessary moisture and adds a bit of radiance. There is no irritation or redness occurred. The serum also makes the skin feel very soft and smooth. I used the capsules for 2 weeks continuously and I didn’t notice any changes in lines or lightening of the dark circles. So, I believe that the product doesn’t do anything for the fine lines.

The product acts as a primer and creates a perfect base for makeup. My eyelids held the eye shadow longer with the serum than without it. The serum is a good moisturizer that hydrates and nourishes the skin. It also reduces tired eyes and relaxes puffy lids. The product contains silicones which explain it acting as a perfect base. Overall, it is a good travel product that moisturizes and soothes but don’t expect anything else from it. So, summing up:

Pros of Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule with Green Tea Extracts:

• Travel-friendly and inexpensive
• Moisturizes and nourishes the eye area
• Adds softness
• Reduces puffiness and relaxes tired eyes
• Gets absorbed quickly without any greasy residue
• Acts as a perfect base for eye makeup and lengthens the wear time
• No irritation or redness

Cons of Balea Eye Concentrate Capsule with Green Tea Extracts:

• Contains silicones
• Doesn’t do anything for fine lines or dark circles
• Awful smell
• Capsule once opened cannot be stored

IMBB Rating:
3/5
