Balea Nourishing Face Cream Review

Balea offers some amazing budget-friendly products. Since I do not visit Germany often I buy everything and then store it. I had picked up face creams this time. When the first one was almost nearing its end, I decided to check this one out. So, today’s review is all about Balea Nourishing Face Cream.

My Experience with Balea Nourishing Face Cream:

The face cream comes in a cardboard packaging. There is a lot of information on all sides of the box. Inside the box, the pot sits perfectly. The cream comes in a plastic pot. It is white in color, has a pink screw cap and is wide mouthed. The product is sealed, which is great; but due to its tub packaging, it might get contaminated easily.

I use a spoon for scooping the cream or use cleansed hands. The quality of the plastic used in the packaging is not superior but is satisfactory for the product. The cap closes well without any issues. The product can settle either way if it is just thrown, so I usually do not take such creams while travelling as they tend to get messy.

The cream is white in color and is very soft and creamy. The texture is medium-thick. It has a very pleasant but very mild smell. The cream gets absorbed very quickly by the skin. The product is more like a gel-cream, hence it’s very lightweight and perfect for summers. There is no greasy residue and the product sets to a matte finish.

The product, for some reason, did sting my skin for the first few seconds but then it completely vanished away. I had this stinging sensation for the first week when I used the product. However, it didn’t cause any redness or breakouts later. So it makes me think if it is suitable for sensitive skin. I wouldn’t want to take the risk of trying this cream if I had sensitive skin.

The product does moisturize the face when applied, but this is short lived. The claim of 24 hours is false. The cream, unfortunately, does not provide the necessary moisture to keep the skin moisturised. So, this product is apt only for normal skin.

I have combination skin and my skin becomes dry within 4 hours. I could feel dryness around the sides of my face, and due to the application of foundation, it started peeling off and was so bad. So, this cream doesn’t really work under makeup. The product makes the skin soft and supple. It doesn’t contain paraben and the price is great.
