Balea Sensitive Shampoo with Aloe Vera Review

Hair type: Dry, frizzy hair with sensitive, itchy scalp

Hello girls!

You know the best part about living in a hostel? The fact that you make new friends and my hostel life introduced me to one such international friend. She is German and on hearing about my scalp woes, she gave me this shampoo which she loved using. And I used it for a couple of weeks, and here is the review of Balea Sensitive Shampoo.

My Experience with Balea Sensitive Shampoo with Aloe Vera:

The shampoo is a pearly translucent liquid which is not too runny neither very thick. The consistency is ideal, and it has a nice floral smell.

Balea Sensitive Shampoo with Aloe Vera packaging

The shampoo comes in a white and blue sturdy plastic bottle, which details written on the body in German. Overall, it’s a fuss free and efficient packaging. It lathers well and cleans hair and scalp well. It is pH balanced and contains goodness of aloe vera, so it will be great for itchy and sensitive scalp. The Mumbai monsoons aggravated my scalp conditions and gave me severe dandruff. Although this shampoo isn’t meant for curing heavy dandruff, it is good for treating affected scalp. It gently cleans my scalp, there is a refreshingly clean feeling after washing. My hair feels light and bouncy, but I feel that a conditioner use is a must post shampooing.

It is free from silicones, which often do not suit sensitive skin. I used it twice a week initially, currently, I am using it in conjunction with another dandruff shampoo I purchase recently (review coming soon). Thankfully, in just a couple of weeks, my scalp problems subsided by 80%.

This shampoo is good for cleaning your hair, without affecting the pH neutrality of your scalp. I like how clean and voluminous my hair looks after using this, just that I need a conditioner to smoothen my dry strands.
