Hello IMBBians,

Before I had picked up Collistar Glycolic Acid, I had bought these face strips as I was experiencing some small breakouts. Since products from Balea are inexpensive, I try them often and today’s review is all about Balea Soft and Clear Anti-Acne Face Strips. Read on to know more!

My Experience with Balea Soft and Clear Anti-Acne Face Strips:

Balea Soft and Clear Anti-Acne Face Strips Review Front

The face strips come in a slight thick pocket envelope-like design. There is some information on the back. Inside the pack, there are 3 sachets each containing 2 pieces one for chin and forehead. There is information on these sachets too. I usually use the face and nose strips together as it would be an easy cleanse in one day. Inside the sachet, there is a strip that includes both the forehead and the chin strip. The forehead strip is long round U-shaped and it is meant to be placed in between your eyebrows and above. The chin strip is a little shorter and is in a box U-shaped. The strips are white in color and have a light fragrance which reminds me of Vichy Norm products. The strips are smaller than I thought, but peeling and using them is easy.

The application is similar to that of a nose strip. You cleanse, wet the surface and apply the strip and remove after 10-15 minutes. The face strips are pretty small and they do not cover the entire forehead but only the center part. The product attaches itself to the skin perfectly. The adhesive is pretty good. The strips contain salicylic and tea tree oil, both of which are known to combat acne. The strips do hurt a lot when it is pulled. It instantly causes redness in that area but fades away pretty quickly. If you have sensitive skin, it is better to stay away from this one. It hurts a lot more than the traditional strips I have used. If you have a pimple or two in the area, make sure you skip these. I had an almost healing pimple and I made a mistake of using the strip on it, the strip ripped out that pimple too, causing a vacant spot and a little bleeding which remained as a mark on my chin; it really looks awful!

The strips, at times, can pull out the hair too. I have hardly had any blackheads in my forehead area but I have whiteheads under my lips, so I use the strips once a month for a thorough pore cleanse. Even though the adhesive is very strong, it fails to pull out the blackheads but it gets rid of all the dry flakes and whiteheads instantly. The skin feels more refined and pure. It also makes the area soft. The pores get cleaner and are comparatively smaller. The product is not a cure for acne but reduces the appearance of them. For me, these only cleanse the pores and creates a refined look but I have to use something else for my entire face. Overall, the strips are worth a try!
