The Balm Time Balm Concealer – Medium
Dear Beauties,

Last month I ran out of my favorite Colorbar stick concealer so I visited the MAC store since I was eyeing their MAC pro long wear concealer from long time and really had hear good reviews on them. The shade I wanted was NC42 but as usual MAC Malaysia only has shade till NC30 here and I was back to square one!
I went to SASA to pick up some usual beauty items and I saw this concealer on sale. The Balm products are my new favorite and I remembered seeing some good reviews on this concealer as well. I tried the shades in the store Medium and Mid Medium..Mid Medium matched my skin tone perfectly but I wanted one shade lighter to bring that brightening effect and plus the shade looked better than mid medium in the store so I bought it

My experience with The Balm Time Balm Concealer – Medium:
TimeBalm concealer comes in 9 different shades and mostly of them are neutral shades ie they have perfect blend of yellow and pink undertones. I could not find any of them way too pink or too yellow. This is a huge plus point since many a times pink undertones concealer look way too ashy on me and too much yellow tones look like I have got jaundice!
The concealer comes in cute round packaging and has a sponge on top. The plastic packaging does not feel cheap but in comparison to their other products packaging I found it very average. If you don’t know what I mean check out the other reviews, The Balm is knows for their funky and cute retro packaging 🙂
The shade medium matches my skin tone nicely and is a neutral shade. The consistency is very creamy but it settles to powder matte finish which I love! The coverage is medium to full and can be layered upon. This concealer does not work as a color corrector, I have horrendous dark circles so usually to achieve that flawless under eye area I need to first correct the bluish dark circles using a peach color corrector and then use a concealer above it. This concealer will cover dark circles very well but if you have extreme dark under eye area, it will not cover them!
It works great as spot concealer and covers redness very well. I found it to be a bit drying especially since I do have quite dry skin around my eyes so it does have tendency to settle in fine lines especially if you have dry skin. This will suit oily to combination skin beauties perfectly but I would not recommend it to dry skinned beauties since it settles to powder finish so it may accentuate dryness on skin
The staying power is phenomenal! It stays for 8 to 9 hours one me and once settled does not budge! Overall its a good concealer for everyday wear and I really like it a lot!

Yes to all combination and oily skinned beauties, its a good concealer and works very well, stay away if you have extremely dry skin or dry under eye area since it may settle in fine lines. Make sure you moisturize the skin well before using it 🙂
