Banana Boat Sun Comfort Sunscreen SPF 50+ Review

Lovely hello to all my beautiful friends,

Today, I have another sunscreen for you all. Oh yes! I am obsessed with sunscreens 😀 And you can easily guess now that my favorite brand for sun protection and care is none other than Banana Boat. So, I have another variant from the same brand today, up for review. I was really happy with the sport sunscreen and also the hydrating variant. But they come in huge bottles, which cannot be taken on long trips as per TSA instructions.  So, when we were going for our LA and San Diego trip, I wanted a sunscreen which was effective and also one which would comply with the TSA rules. And this was the only one I could find in a travel-sized version, in our local “Target” store. Let us see if it performed like the other products from this brand or not, read on 🙂

My Experience with Banana Boat Sun Comfort Sunscreen SPF 50+:

Banana Boat SunComfort Continuous Spray SPF 50+ comes in a can with twist and lock cap.  It’s easy to travel with and no worries about the tube accidentally opening up in the bag. We need to twist open the can and spray the product on arms and legs and rub it in a little bit.

The sunscreen is very light in texture. The product has a fresh citrusy fragrance, which doesn’t last for long and is very light, but it does has a sunscreen fragrance, but that doesn’t last for too long. It gets absorbed instantly without leaving any greasy layer on the skin. The product protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

I spray the product on my palm for applying it on my face. It hasn’t caused any breakouts on my skin, hasn’t irritated my skin also.  It does feel a bit oily on my face, but I find that okay to be on my arms and legs (I have super dry skin for reference, but my facial skin does turn combination during summers). So, applying this on face, especially beneath makeup, during summers is not a good idea. It did withstand playing in a lot of water before reapplication the second time. Also, the spray makes reapplication super easy.

Regarding the claim about brushing off the sand, I actually try and brush all the sand off me before I reapply. But yes, it brushed off rest of the sand after application.

I have applied it throughout the day while roaming around in Universal Studios and Disneyland, and with the super harsh sun there, I would have come back all baked and toasted, but this sunscreen really protected me. I tanned a lot less and I did reapply it every 3-4 hours.

The only thing I don’t like about the sunscreen is that it flies a lot during application, which is a bit of an inconvenience to other people around you, especially when you are applying the sunscreen while standing in a queue. 😛
