Hugs and kisses wonderful women!
Today I will be sharing my views about a hair care powder I purchased long ago. In fact, I am on my second packet of this super affordable and effective product. It is the Amla Hair Care Powder from Banjara’s. Read on to know how it fared on my hair.
Price: Rs. 60
Banjara’s Amla Hair Care Powder is a rich source of Vitamin C. It prevents premature greying, imparts luster to hair thereby making the hair healthy.
The packaging is super convenient. It comes in green colored sachets, each having 12 gm product. So you can empty the contents of one sachet as per your requirement without opening others. I feel it’s convenient to use and easy to store and travel with.
My Experience with Banjara’s Amla Hair Care Powder:
My experience with amla powder is not new. In my childhood, my mom used to apply hair mask with amla, shikakai and hibiscus on my hair. I have thick and strong hair, though on the drier side. My scalp is sensitive with dandruff issues. I got this readymade amla powder as I don’t have the time to grind amla powder, albeit I want to go chemical free. I feel these natural ingredients improve your hair health in the long run than any hair spa or mask. Banjara’s Amla powder is a quick to use mix. It has powdered amla with the smell of amla intact, hence no artificial fragrance is added. One needs to be cautious while using as the powdered amla is dry and tends to scatter. Do spread a large newspaper sheet before commencing on making a hair pack with this amla powder.
Initially, to test it a couple of times, I used on its own. I mixed it with hot water and applied to my scalp. Amla powder doesn’t deeply condition or soften your hair, so applying it on hair strands is of no use. I apply it to the roots so as to impart strength and nourishment to my strands. I leave it on for 45 minutes and wash off with any herbal or sulfate free shampoo. What did I notice during these usages? My hair had an immense volume and bounce and my scalp felt so light. It took away greasiness from the roots and scalp and kind of removed my product build up. But my hair felt dry and I had to follow up with a serum. With two uses, my scalp itchiness seemed to ebb away. With a few more, I saw my hair loss reducing considerably.
It also claims to prevent premature ageing of hair. A little anecdote I would tell you. Since I stay in a hostel, my friends and I stay up quite late at night either studying or watching movies. Within a couple of months, a few of my friends started having grey hair. None of them had genetically premature greying tendencies. The horrid sleeping pattern and lifestyle hit hard. It triggered warning bells for me and I decided to change my lifestyle before my hair started greying. This amla powder is just another step in the direction of maintaining my natural hair. As with any natural ingredient, it takes some time to show results.
At 60 bucks, Banjara’s Amla Powder is a good one as it saves you the trouble of making amla powder. Plus you can mix and match with ingredients of your choice to get hair packs suited for you. I have a few coming your way, so stay tuned.
