Banjara’s Fruit Face Essentials for Fairness and Pigmentation Review

Hiii beauties!

One day, I was at a supermarket. When my friend and I reached the beauty section, I could see a wide range of Banjara’s product. I learnt that Banjara’s has come up with a new range called ‘Face Essentials’. This one gained some special attention from me because it had a cute pink packaging and that said ‘for fairness and pigmentation’. I have used Banjara’s Multani Mitti Neem Pack and it gives me a clean face every time and does not harm my skin at all. I impulsively buy anything that has ‘for fairness and pigmentation’ written over it. Same case happened here and I brought this home. Let us see how it fared.

The packaging had a wonderful set of claims which is different from what was written on the tubes. The claims on the outer packaging can make anyone wonder that what sort of a magic potion is there inside!!

I could not see in what form the contents are lying inside — as it had a neat plastic seal around the whole hard box in pink. I planned to have a trial with the small kit. And, I am grateful to myself for having bought the trial kit now. Also, I am sorry that I have thrown the outer packaging.

When I reached home, I opened it up and saw that it had 3 tubes inside. The Fruit Face Wash, Fruit Scrub and Fruit Cream – all meant for fairness and pigmentation. I realized that they were really small. The tubes were all white in colour.

Fruit Face Wash

Banjara’s fruit face wash is a soap free gel with a blend of active ingredients derived from natural fruit extracts. This helps remove dirt and impurities. Fruit enzymes unclog pores and reduce excess oil production, leaving skin revitalized.

Efficacy:
It has a gel like consistency which is light pink in color. It has a nice smell which is fruity. It lathers easily when rubbed in circular motion, as mentioned on the tube. After rinsing off, I got an oil free face that felt refreshed. It gave a slight cooling effect too. The effects are nothing greater than that of any normal face wash, though. I haven’t felt the smell to be artificial. You will need only a little amount of face wash to gently cleanse your face. My face got cleared out of oil, as it claimed.

Fruit Scrub

Product Description:
Banjara’s fruit scrub has non abrasive microbeads that deep cleanse and nourish the skin by removing excess oil and dead skin cells. This oil free fruit scrub contains Alpha hydroxy acids derived from fruits that help clear acne-prone skin by unclogging pores and fighting pimples. Use regularly to improve skin texture and reduce incidence of breakouts.

Directions for Use:
Take a generous and gently massage onto the skin. Continue for approximately 5 minutes avoiding the eye area. Rinse off thoroughly. Use at least twice weekly.

Efficacy:
Banjaras fairness scrub is meant to be used for approximately 5 mins. I feel it is because of the microbeads they demand scrubbing for 5 minutes.

The gel gets into the skin completely after about 3 minutes. After which, only the microbeads are left. It gives a well cleansed feeling. After washing it off I felt a stretchy effect for the initial two minutes after which it turned into a light burning sensation which, thankfully, subsided after 3-4 minutes. 🙁

I then decided to wait for a few minutes before applying the fairness cream. It is said that the scrub has to be used generously. And, you will need a big coin sized amount to cover both face and neck. I guess the tube will last only for 4 uses. (2 times a week)

Fruit Fairness Cream

Efficacy:
I am very skeptical about using creams on my face. The fairness cream comes in white color and it has a light consistency. I needed only a small amount of the cream to cover my whole face and neck. Though, it takes a minute to get completely absorbed into my skin, it gives a matte effect afterwards. It never feels oily. Almost all creams gives me pimples and I haven’t yet found my HG one. This was no different. It gifted me pimples the next day! I slept with it overnight during my third trial. I guess this tube will last for a longer period than the others.

Results:

First Trial:
When I tried it on the same day I brought it home, I tried all the three of the tubes and the same day I got a bad rush of puss filled little pimples near to my mouth. There were around 7-8 of them. My mom scolded me for trying out all ‘this’ and ‘that’ and I had to quit it. As far as I remember, the pimples took more than a week to go away completely.

Second Attempt:
Back in hostel, when I was out of my face wash and had no time to buy another one, I saw this lying around my bag. I tried the face wash for the day and the results were no different! Same pimples happily rushed-in the same way! I decided not to use it in future.

Third Attempt:
The decision I took after having the results of both first and second attempts vanished away when I was photographing them for IMBB. I had to use it after going through its claims again!!!! I used them and everything went fine until I left the fairness cream overnight. The next day, I woke up with the little pimples back again! Happily quitting its use and throwing it now to prevent any future mood-swings because of its tall claims! 😛

Pros of Banjara’s Fruit Face Essentials for Fairness and Pigmentation:

• Attractive packaging
• Travel friendly tubes
• Affordable

Cons of Banjara’s Fruit Face Essentials for Fairness and Pigmentation:

• Have got a highly tempting huge list of false claims
• Gave me free puss pimples as an array each time I use it

IMBB Rating:
2/5

  1. I am never too sure about the products from this brand. Some products are so good, but most of them are bad. If I really need to go for inexpensive herbal brand, I would any day go to Khadi. Sad, it gave you pimples. 🙁
