Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk Review

Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk Review

Hi IMBBians,

I shall be talking about a cleansing milk in today’s review. I did a mini online haul and mostly bought Banjara’s products.  My sister who stays down south raves about its face powders, so along with those powders, I also got myself a few other stuff. Not everything has turned out to be good. Anyway, let us take a detailed review of the cleansing milk in this post.

Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk.

Product Claims:

  • For all types of skin.
  • Rich, creamy, and fragrant.
  • Removes impurities of facial skin.
  • Help free clogged pores.
  • Protects face against problems caused by pollution.

Directions For Use:

Moisten your face with lukewarm water and very gently apply our cleansing milk all over your face with feeble circular motions. Later, remove it with a dry, soft and clean cotton ball. Once you are done, you will notice that the milk is actually creamy than jelly or thick.

Price/Packaging/Quantity:

INR 120 for 100 ml. It comes in a transparent plastic bottle with an orange-coloured screw cap which is even flip top so can be used either ways. The flip top is a bit tight and with long nails, it can pose a bit of a problem.  The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.

Ingredients:

Saffron, Turmeric extracts, Red sandalwood oil.

My Take on Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk:

Well knowing the multitudinous benefits of saffron and using it in my beauty regime, I was intrigued to try more of the products which claimed to contain this amazing spice. This cleansing milk is a light orange-coloured liquid which has a runny consistency.  In the past, whichever cleansing milks I have used have been of a thicker consistency than this one. The fragrance is of mild saffron, but since fragrances are personal and subjective, I can’t really comment on that. Moving on to the efficacy, when I tried it on my face, it made my oily skin even more oily.

Saffron Cleansing Milk

It could not clear the waterproof makeup and when it accidentally went into my eyes, it stung very badly. I could see traces of kajal left on my eyes and the waterproof mascara later came off when I used Revlon eye and lip makeup remover. I think it shall suit dry-skinned beauties but again it is a very average cleanser which does not remove makeup effectively.

In the picture below, I have used Colorbar eye liner, Faces Go Chic Lipistick, Lancome eye shadow and Faces Eye Pencil to show how this cleansing milk works.

Swatch 1

After multiple swipes, the first three products could be cleaned off, but even after exerting a lot of pressure, the Faces eye pencil refused to go away.

If you are a dry-skinned beauty who is looking for a daily cleanser to lift off dirt and dust particles, you may pick it up, otherwise give it a pass.

Summarizing the pros and cons:

Pros of Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk:

  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Impressive key ingredients.
  • Lifts off dust and dirt reasonably.

Cons of Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk:

  • Stings the eyes, ouch!
  • Does not remove makeup satisfactorily.
  • Struggles to remove waterproof makeup.
  • Full list of ingredients not mentioned.
  • Makes skin oily, so not suitable for oily-skinned beauties

Will I Repurchase Banjara’s Saffron Cleansing Milk?
