Many of you who have read my articles must be aware that I have very oily skin; hence I can’t use any moisturizer or lotion over my skin. The only moisturizer which suits me is Lacto calamine and I use gels. I have so many gels and I love to try all kind of gels. Quite some time back I got to know about Banjara’s gel. My today’s review is for Banjara’s skin lightening gel. Well, let me tell you all firstly I had not purchased this one because of some skin lightening claim. I picked this one up because of my love for gels.

Aqua, liquorice extract, turmeric extract, bearberry leaf

Product Description:

Banjara’s skin lightening Gel enhanced with berberry extract contains Alpha-arbutin. It promotes lightening and even skin tone on all types of skin and reduces the degree of skin tanning after UV exposure & minimizes the dark spots.

Directions for use:

Cleanse your face well with warm water and apply small amount of gel over the face and neck with your fingers avoiding eyes. You can see the effects as the skin gets firmer as the gel dries with the nutrient feed that protects the skin all day long.

My experience with Banjara’s skin lightening gel:

The gel comes in pink plastic tube with flip -open white cap. I like the packaging as most of the other gels come in tub packaging. It is travel friendly, fits easily in bag without any fear of leakage and all. It is a light pink coloured gel. The smell is very weird and I didn’t like it at all. Maybe it is due to the turmeric extract present in it. Applying it is also not a pleasant thing to do as it doesn’t get absorbed in the skin quickly and after applying it feels like chip-chip for 1 minute or so. But after that the skin feels fine. Well let me tell you all that I have been using this gel for like the past 2 weeks and I didn’t see any visible difference in my skin. I have used it at night also before going to sleep and also tried using it in day. It does help in preventing my skin to become oily for like 2 hours but that thing even my lacto calamine does and it does better than the gel. So I have like stopped using it in day now and use it only at night.

Positives for Banjara’s skin lightening gel:

• Comes in tube packaging making it travel friendly and hygienic.
• Doesn’t cause acne.

Negatives for Banjara’s skin lightening gel:

• Does no wonder. Company has claimed so much but it doesn’t even stand up to normal gels.
• Makes skin so sticky for 1-2 minutes.
• No SPF mentioned, hence cannot be used during day.
• Weird smell.

Will I recommend or repurchase Banjara’s skin lightening gel?

No I will not buy it again. I think other gels like green leaf aloe vera, nature’s essence aloe Vera are far better than this. Nor  will I recommend this to anyone. It is a waste of money.
