Bare Essentials Avera Green Herbs Skin Gel Review

Bare Essentials Avera Green Herbs Skin Gel Review

Hello everybody!!

How are you all?? Here in Delhi, it has started to get a bit chilly in the evenings, really pleasant. Today, I will be reviewing a skin gel from the brand Avera. This is my first product that I have tried from this brand. I was never a fan of commercialized aloe vera gels; I rather prefer fresh gel squeezed out of a succulent leaf, no matter how sticky it is, but when I saw this one online, its name was enough to lure me to buy this one. Green herbs really intrigued me. Let us see how it fared for me.

My Experience with Bare Essentials Avera Green Herbs Skin Gel:

So, let me start with the packaging first. This gel container that you see in the pictures came packed in a clear plastic rectangular box (which I could not find while clicking photos), I must say that I was really impressed at first, but when I opened the box and took out this jar, I got really disappointed. This gel comes in a plastic jar with a green colored lid, both made of very low quality plastic. I mean when you touch it, you do not get a good feeling. Also, it feels that the labels would come off any minute.

Anyhow, the gel is of light green color, unlike other commercial versions. I kind of like the color, not too bright. The consistency is of course gel like. It smells like herbs, not too overpowering. When you apply, it gets quickly absorbed, feels sticky initially for like 4-5 minutes, but after that, it leaves skin soft and smooth. I must say it moisturizes well, just perfect for oily to normal skinned beauties. Dry-skinned beauties may not find it that moisturizing, especially in winters.  It does give a light cooling sensation after applying and soothes the skin, but that effect stays for like 2-3 minutes.

As the product claims, it can be applied on cuts and wounds also, to heal them up and it works wonders on them. I apply it after toning every night and it keeps my skin hydrated and provides a subtle glow next morning. Overall, it is a decent aloe vera gel that comes with the goodness of other herbs as well.
