Bare Essentials Avera Rose Water Review

Nupur had sent me some goodies a few days ago and this rose water was one of the goodies. I can’t thank her enough for introducing me to this rose water.  I have in the past complained against the pink Dabur Gulabari stinging my eyes. Even the clear rose water from Dabur stung my eyes.  I couldn’t find any better rose water from other brands and a few of them I thought of picking up came in strange colors! Rati had suggested FabIndia Rose Water to me, which is her favourite too.  I found Fab India Rose Water online and was about to order when Nupur sent me this wonderful rose water from Bare Essentials.  Please read the review to find out why I love it so much.

My Take on Bare Essentials Avera Rose Water:

This is a very clear, distilled rose water that does not smell much of anything.  The rose water comes in a spray bottle with a small plastic cap on the top.  This is a 100 ml bottle and lightweight, so you can easily carry it around in your hand  bag/purse.  I carry it in my purse always and one I keep in the fridge (yes, I ordered two more bottles :P).

The rose water comes in a fine mist form from the spray bottle and its such a refreshing feeling when such mist hits the face and eyes.

The best feature of this rose water is that it does not sting the eyes or skin.  As mentioned above, Dabur rose waters sting badly and I cannot think of spraying them on my eyes.  But this rose water by Avera, I love to spray, especially “into” my eyes because it instantly freshens them up.  At the end of the day, after moving away from the computer screen, I spray it liberally on my eyes and it is such a good feeling. Initially, when I had done such a thing with Dabur’s rose waters, it used to sting so and I would freak out completely thinking I would lose my vision.

This rose water can be mixed along with face packs for added benefits.

Bare Essentials Avera Rose Water

This rose water is so much better, completely justifies the price, and it does not dry out the skin at all.  I keep on spraying it every now and then. I also feel it tones up the skin. I have realized that I have had less acne break outs since using this.

Summing up the pros and cons of Avera’s rose water:

Pros of Bare Essentials Avera Rose Water:

  • Rose water made from natural rose extracts.
  • Clear rose water without any added colorants.
  • Does not sting the skin.
  • Does not sting the eyes.
  • Can be mixed with face packs.
  • Tones up the skin.
  • Does not dry out the skin.
  • Refreshes skin and eyes instantly.
  • Lightweight, hence can be easily carried around in a handbag.
  • Comes in a spray bottle.

Cons of Bare Essentials Avera Rose Water:

  • Only that it is so good and refreshing that I cannot resist the urge of spraying it again and again and the 100 ml bottle finishes up in no time 🙁
