Bare Minerals Satin Ruffle Eye Color Review

Hello everyone on IMBB!

Weekend is here, but I am not feeling it as I am already enjoying my holidays (read pre-maternity leaves) :D. Yes, need prayers strongly. Anyway, coming to today’s product, I picked one more eye color, but not for eye makeup! The moment I saw it, I knew I can have an easier and finish-able alternative to The Balm Mary Lou Manizer and I can save my bucks for Cindy Lou Manizer. I will review it both as an eye color and highlighter. Nevertheless, I always fall for Bare Minerals products.

My Take on Bare Minerals Satin Ruffle Eye Color:

Bare Minerals Velvet Eye Color in Satin Ruffle comes in a small jar, with transparent pan and silver cover with the Bare Minerals label (which is really difficult to catch through the camera), but I did it somehow. The shade name is written at the bottom and the eye color was sealed when I received it. It’s a travel friendly, sturdy and light weight packaging.

This is a loose powder eye color. The texture is so finely milled and silky that it justifies the description of velvet eye color completely. The shade is actually a creamy n*de color with satin finish, it doesn’t contain visible shimmer chunks. The micro-mini silver particles settle with satin finish. The pigmentation is really good, one swipe and you get the color which you can intensify with two. Totally love the quality and the pigmentation. The shade is versatile on its own.  You can use it on the eyelids or as a highlighting shade for brow bone.

It stays put on the eyes for 4-5 hours without any primer and there are no creasing issues either. With primer, I experienced 7-8 hours longevity on average. There are no fallout issues as well.

I am using this shade as a highlighter mainly because I didn’t want to splurge on both variants from The Balm – Cindy and Mary. So, this is sort of a dupe of Mary Lou Manizer for me. It isn’t a complete match, but rather a closer dupe. As a highlighter, it adds glow to my face and perfectly highlights my cheek bones, nose bridge, and collar bone as well. Now, I will only need to pick up that lovely pink Cindy Lou Manizer whenever I find it a justified price tag with shipping and taxes added.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Bare Minerals Satin Ruffle Eye Color?
I will pick other shades from this range of eye colors from Bare Minerals because I am so in love with the texture and quality, but will pick up the shades that I can use in multiple ways because I am not much into eye makeup (my eyes are sensitive and it looks over board for my social circle). I strongly recommend trying these out, you will love them.
