This review will be on the Bare Minerals All over face color in the shade “Glee.”

My Experience with bareMinerals All Over Face Color – Glee:
bareMinerals products are amazing and I am seriously hooked to this brand. I always keep trying new stuff from this brand and this time, it was this all over face color in the shade “Glee,” which is described as a soft mauve plum. I love the fact that bareMinerals products are free from chemicals, synthetics and parabens and the main ingredients is mica.
Packaging:
As amazing as bareMineral products are, I think they should really consider changing their traditional packaging for loose powders. They are highly inconvenient to work with and not at all travel friendly. They usually cause a mess, especially if you are clumsy like me.
Pigmentation and Shade:
This product is very pigmented and you need a very tiny amount to have the color show up with full intensity. Since you can easily go overboard with this product, it’s better to use this little at a time and be sure to tap off the excess from your brush to avoid patchy application. I use this product as a blush and sometimes even as an eye shadow. It’s completely matte with no hint of glitter or shimmer. When using it as a blush, I do use some highlighter paired with it to give my face some glow or else the color alone makes my face look very flat. On the other hand, I love using this as an eyeshadow. I use it both as a crease color and sometimes as a lid color paired with different other combinations. It blends very easily and the powders itself is very soft to touch. Another way to use this is to mix it with your favorite colorless lip balm or Vaseline and you have your own custom-made tinted lip balm. I also on occasions do a very light handed dusting of this all over the face and it make my face look flushed.
Staying Power:
The staying power of this is good. It stays 4-5 hours on my cheeks and then fades away quickly. On my eyes, with a good primer/base, it stays 6 hours. It is completely fragrance free.
Overall, I do like this product, but I am not blown away by it. This particular color will work on skin tones “fair/medium,” but I do not see it working for dark skin tones. It is completely matte hence it does not impart that healthy look to my skin which is what is highly disappointing to me. For $19, I do think this product is very expensive, but since very little is needed, it will last me forever. Hence I will not be repurchasing this again.

- All natural ingredients.
- Free of parabens and other harmful chemicals.
- Very pigmented, a little goes a long way.
- Works both as a blush and an eye color or mixed with your clear gloss or lip balm to create your own custom lip color.
- Can be used as a light dusting on face to give a flushed look, but you have to be very careful as you don’t want to end up with a pink face.
- Can look patchy sometimes if not applied by tapping off the excess from your brush.
- Fragrance free.
- This particular color may not work paired with dark skin.
- No shimmer, totally matte finish.
- Good staying power.
Cons of bareMinerals All Over Face Color – Glee:
- Expensive.
- Due to its matte finish makes, my skin look very flat.
- Inconvenient packaging, always creates a mess.

Neha….I think it would look good on dark skin tones too 🙂 The sifter/grinder packaging would have been great for this product.
U think so Jomol.. I though with a deep color like this it might virtually dissapear on dark skin..any who there is no right way to know how a certain color would look on u till u try it right..I agree the grinder would have been convenient..
