Bath and Body Works Amber Blush Golden Sugar Body Scrub Review

Hello Beauties,

Hope you all are doing great. I am a big hoarder of bath and body products and BBW is one of my favorite brands.  I have used their body mists, lotions, body butters, etc., but their body scrub was something I have not tried before. I have used sugar body scrub from The Nature’s Co and liked it a lot and I wanted to use more of sugar scrubs as body scrub.  BBW has a huge collection of golden sugar body scrubs to choose from.  So, after going back and forth their product racks, I bought a few golden sugar scrubs and Amber Blush was one of them.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Amber Blush Golden Sugar Body Scrub:

This scrub is a thick paste of sugar crystals and oils. If I compare it with my TNC sugar scrub, granules of sugar are bigger in the BBW scrub.  On the skin, the sugar crystals slowly start to melt (not completely); as the time progresses, they feel less harsh on the skin.  As it is an oil-based scrub, it’s easy to massage on the skin. After washing with water, skin feels smooth, soft to touch.  The oils in it also moisturize skin, but the oily feel remains behind, one can use soap/body wash to get rid of oiliness. However, I have read somewhere that it is good to not wash these oils as it nourishes the skin, so I always leave it on.

However, this oiliness is not very bothersome until you live in a very humid place.  It also helps with ingrown hair, but as it leaves oiliness behind, it’s good to use soap/body wash if you are using the scrub before waxing or epilation.

The smell of this scrub is very fruity + musky. I don’t get the flowery smell as much as I expected after reading the description. I love amber blush range smell, but this scrub smells a little different than all the products from that line. When washed with only water, the smell of this scrub remains for the whole day on my skin and my bathroom smell amazing for the next few hours.

It comes in a tube, unlike other scrubs which come in huge tubs. The tube packaging is hygienic and easy to carry around, but gets difficult to squeeze out the product when the scrub gets dry or when it reaches towards the end. In totality, I like this sugar scrub for how smooth and soft it makes my skin and for the hydration it gives to my skin while scrubbing.  But the oiliness is bothersome at times and that can be a turn off for many people. I recommend this to all girls who love fruity + musky smell and those who are looking for a good sugar scrub.  Girls who like mild scrubs should stay away.
