Background: This product was a gift from a family friend. I was only too happy to see a BBW gift 😀 I am not really into lotions for my body, but this stuff is soooo yumm. I have a couple of nivea and Vaseline lotions but find that they take a while to get absorbed and hence attract dust. I don’t like. So I switched to bath oils since they work very nicely and last long as well. But this bottle of lotion is sure to make you feel special and will pleasure your senses. While it can be used in summers too, I used it primarily in the winters last year and quite enjoyed it. Let me tell you more about it here.
What the product claims: Be whisked away to your very own paradise with this luscious blend of fresh coconut, lime and fragrant verbena, warmed by vanilla and musk. Smooth over skin to moisturize and fragrance. Naturally pampering ingredients: conditioning aloe vera, protective grape seed extract, vitamin e & c.
Fragrance Top Notes Italian Bergamot, Black Currant, White Melon, Zesty Lime, Cool Ozone. Fragrance Mid Notes Peach, Cedarwood, Muguet, Tuberose, Coconut, Mandarin, Lemon Verbena. Fragrance Base Notes Rich Musk, Creamy Sandalwood, and Vanilla Bean.
Ingredients: Please see the full list of ingredients in the image below.
Price and Quantity: Let me tell you at the outset, I LOVE BBW products and never find them steep or anything. It is so much better than body shop and other nonsensical-natural brands. Since this was a gift, I don’t know the price first hand. These lotions typically cost $9.90. Quantity is 236ml which is pretty okay for a luxury body lotion. Don’t have the heart to use this every day, I only use it when I want to feel special.
My experience with the product: The lotion is fantastic. The fragrance is the high point of this product for sure. It is a subtle, lingering scent of coconuts, lime and all things fresh and invigorating. It’s a very sophisticated scent, doesn’t hit you in the face and stays with you for a really long time. The lotion is not greasy. In fact, it gets absorbed surprisingly quickly. So it fulfills the two criterion of a good lotion for me – absorbs well and smells great. If I were to go and buy this lotion and was free to choose any scent, I really think I will pick up the same scent. I like it so much. I would love to pick up a body mist and a perfume in this range sometime. The packaging is quite pretty and convenient. The nozzle cap that you see in the picture releases just the right amount of lotion in your palm. A little goes a long way.
Pros of Coconut Lime Verbana body lotion:
1. Smells fantastic. If you are into fresh fragrances and dislike fruity, sweety scents, this one’s for you
2. Absorbs quickly
3. Scent lingers on for a long time, more than any body lotion I have
4. Easy to carry, travel-friendly
5. Great packaging
6. Not too pricey. Around 10$ for 236ml. For a luxury brand its not bad at all
Cons of Coconut Lime Verbana body lotion:
1. Availability in India. Oh Bath and Body Works!!..When shalt thou comth to India
2. As of now, no products are available on the website for this range. Wonder if that was because this is special edition or if its sold out. I really hope it’s the latter.
Would I recommend it? Yes
Would I purchase it again? Sure. Don’t know when though. Maybe order from the website?….
