Bath and Body Works Fresh Brazil Citrus Sugarcane Scrub Review

Today, I am back with one more product from the Bath and Body Works new Brazil collection. The fragrance is Fresh Brazil Citrus and I have already reviewed the body cream from this range here.  Let’s see how the scrub from this line fares – the Fresh Brazil Citrus Sugarcane Scrub. I have also reviewed the Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane scrub from this collection and I will give you a comparison between the two.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Fresh Brazil Citrus Sugarcane Scrub:

I would like to start my review with the packaging first because that is what attracts you to this product immediately. I was always a fan of the Bath and Body Works packaging, but with the Brazil collection, they have unleashed an entirely new level of visual appeal. One look at all that colorful and cheerful packaging, and your mind is sure to get transported to some exotic tropical forest.  This particular product has a colorful picture of citrus fruits – tangerine and lemons and some tropical leaves. The scrub comes in a sturdy squeezable tube with a flip cap that shuts tight. So, traveling with it should not be a problem.

The scrub is medium thick in consistency and has sugarcane crystals in it. The crystals do not feel harsh on the skin and exfoliate pretty well. The scrub leaves my skin smooth and soft. I like that it does not dry out my skin even in winters. You only need a little quantity of the product as it lathers up well, especially with a loofah. I do not need to use any soap/ shower gel later.

The scrub smells of coconut, pineapple and citrus.  It’s not too overpowering, definitely fresh and tropical. The smell lingers on my body for 1-2 hours, but dies down after that. It surely lasts longer if I layer it with other products from this fragrance line. Also, I would like to point out that the scrub smells a little bit more citrus-y compared to the body cream, thus justifying its name to some extent.

Comparing it with the Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane Scrub, I think that both the scrubs perform fairly similar as they both have sugarcane crystals. I found the “Cool Amazon Rain” one a bit drying compared to this one. Other than that, it has to be the fragrance which will be the deal breaker and that is a personal choice.

Yes, I would surely recommend you to try one of these sugarcane scrubs.

I already have 2 scrub tubes to finish from this collection before I head out to buy any more scrubs.
