I have been an ardent fan of Bath and Body Works products, but unfortunately, it is difficult to get most of these here in India. So, this time it was a B&B binge for me. Read on to find out if this purchase met my expectations, as always.

Product Description:
The perfect scrub for shower or bath, our non-greasy, exfoliating Olive Oil Body Scrub gently leaves skin feeling soft and smooth with a rich blend of natural peppermint essential oil & European olive oil.
Fragrance:
This body wash has a heavenly smell. I can’t pick out a unique ingredient, but a beautiful, warm and toasty blend of Wild Lavender, Sandalwood, Lemon Blossom, Acai Berry (I don’t see the ingredient list, but the lady at the counter claims so). It’s light and pleasant.
Packaging:
This comes in a brown tub container, which I totally like. It has a sticker with the product details and description. There isn’t any ingredient list or anything on the bottle. It comes without outer box, so don’t have any other description of the product. The main advantage of this kind of packaging is that, you can dig out the entire product without any wastage, unlike pump dispensers. It’s not a very huge tub, so it is travel-friendly too. But the only con is that, since it is oil-based, it leaks and hence not a good idea to travel with it.
My Experience on Bath and Body Works Lavender and Sandalwood Body Scrub:
I have extremely dry and sensitive skin and I avoid using scrubs, since it makes my skin more dry and flaky, especially in winters. This oil-based scrub immediately caught my eye, and I couldn’t wait to try this one. On first thoughts, it looked like a normal home-made scrub. Since it is oil-based, the oil accumulates on top of the tub.So, make sure you mix it well before using it. It has a mixture of a lot of oils which are magic potions for your skin.
When I applied this and washed it off, my skin felt very oily, a very unwashed feeling. But as you pat yourself dry, it gives you just the right amount of moisture that your skin needs. It gives you the dewy, velvety feeling. Skin felt clean and at the same time moisturized, soft and supple. It really does the job of scrubbing and washing away your skins dead cells without stripping it off. Thanks to the oil quotient in this one.
So, dry skinned and sensitive skin beauties, grab this one. This has the best of all essential oils i.e. Sandalwood, Lavender, Lemon Blossom, Acai Berry, Peppermint along with olive oil, all of which has skin enhancing properties. I simply adore this smell. I have tried making a similar scrub at home, but the smell was nowhere close to this one. This one product does the job of an oil, body wash and a moisturiser. Isn’t that great? I wish they had a bigger tub because, this can be used for a maximum of four or five washes, if used luxuriously.
Pros of Bath and Body Works Lavender and Sandalwood Body Scrub:
- Since it is oil-based, it cleanses the skin without making skin dry.
- Provides deep moisture as it cleans skin.
- Suitable for all skin types, but ideal for dry/sensitive skin.
- Skin feels soft, smooth, and supple.
- Gentle enough to be used daily.
- Smells heavenly.
Cons of Bath and Body Works Lavender and Sandalwood Body Scrub:
- Tub packaging
- Size could be bigger.
- Since it is oil based, it leaks and may not be advisable for travel.
- No ingredient list or any details of the product.

Even though this can easily be passed on as a DIY, I would recommend it to everyone who wants to indulge in an absolute spa like experience at home.
