Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Aloe Gel Lotion Review

Hello all,

Thanks all for the lovely comments on my previous post on the Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Fragrance Mist. Today, I am reviewing the Aloe Gel lotion from the same fragrance range.  Mostly Bath and Body Works have the Shea and Vitamin E Body lotions which are cream-based lotions essentially.  However with the Hawaii collection, they have launched Aloe Gel lotions. Read on to find out more.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Aloe Gel Lotion:

Packaging:  I have the travel version of the gel lotion and it comes in a sky blue plastic flip-top tube. The packaging is absolutely cute and attractive. It spells Hawaii and beach all the way!! The tube is sturdy and travel friendly. It is also available in a bigger 5.6 fl oz variant.

Fragrance:  The fragrance is a mix of mango, pineapple and citrus. It definitely smells more mango than the body mist from the same fragrance. It reminds me of beaches and summer. It is an out-and-out fruity fragrance. Those of you who love fruity, flirty, fresh fragrances will surely love this.

The fragrance lingers on my body for 2-3 hours, but stays longer if I layer it with fragrance mist from the same range.

Texture and Performance:  The aloe gel lotion is light blue in color and has a gel-like consistency. It has a slight cooling sensation on the skin and doesn’t feel greasy at all. It gets spread very easily and gets absorbed into the skin. Its texture is very much like other water-based lotions. In spite of not being overtly creamy, it manages to moisturize pretty well. It leaves my skin soft and supple. The aloe gel lotion feels much lighter than regular lotions and would be a great option to use in sweltering summers.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Aloe Gel Lotion?

Yes, this is a pretty effective water-based lotion with a lovely fruity fragrance.  I have already hauled quite a few gel lotions and need to finish those before repurchasing anything.
