Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist Review

Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist

Hello Everybody,

As promised, I am bringing you the third body mist from my recent haul from BBW. This range is again a very recent launch by BBW . This will give you an over view of the fragrance, so that it would be helpful for you to decide whether to buy any products from this range. Read on to find how I liked it.

Price: $14

Quantity: 8 fl oz/236 ml (The entire shower gels/body lotions and mists come in almost the same quantity, which is definitely a steal for the price).

My experience with Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist

Packaging: This mist comes in a very huge, sturdy, plastic, transparent bottle like all BBW mists have the same packaging. The bottle has green plastic cover which makes the bottle/mist appear green. It has minimal detailing with golden rose flowers, which I quite like it even though it is not pink/girly :D. The quantity (236 ml) is very huge which will last forever.

Product: The mist is transparent and is in consistency of water.

Fragrance: When I open the cap and smell the mist from the bottle, it smells of all fresh citrus and green apples. I always feel that the first notes of mists/EDTs are bad :P. Most of the time when I smell the first notes, they smell of some alcohol or a nail polish remover. This is the case as for this mist as well. When I smell the mist immediately after spraying on my skin, it gives a strong ‘nail polish remover’ smell, which I don’t like it. But not to worry, this will vanish in 5 seconds or probably much fast if you rub the mist on skin before it dries.

The middle note is completely of fresh mandarins (citrus) and green apples. However I must say that the fragrance does not show up too much as it is not strong. There is no last note as such, as the middle note continues for the rest of the day. The mist is crisp but not as sharp to bother my nose. This has got a really nice balanced fragrance.

In my experience, I used to like only musky/woody and floral fragrances until I met IMBB. To be frank IMBB has not only changed my perception towards makeup and beauty but also changed my choices/likings: D. For the past 6 months I started using citrus fragrances. I used to think citrus fragrances are only for middle aged women (probably who crossed their 30’s), but yeah I was wrong. Being in mid 20’s I love to wear citrus fragrances to my work and fruity/floral during evenings.
Coming to the pear blossom air fine fragrance mist, I absolutely love how it smells. However there is a clause to it, the staying power.

Staying Power: As said earlier, the mist is not strong enough to stay for not more than 2, if used on its own. Once I spray on my skin, I need to sniff myself to feel the fragrance. So I need to spray more for the fragrance to show off.

However I think it is always a good idea to layer the fragrances. I do not have the shower gel and body lotion from the same range to layer. But I love to layer it with other mandarin/floral perfumes which I own.

Ideal for: As per my taste, it is ideal for spring/summer time and I would love to wear it to office.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist

• Fresh mandarin, green apples fragrance
• Good sturdy, travel friendly packaging
• Can be used on clothes, it does not stain the clothes
• Gives a nice cooling effect on the skin
• Affordable
• Huge quantity

Cons of Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist

• Very mild fragrance, which requires more of product to be used
• Very less staying power, when compared to other BBW mists
• Need to layer it to show up the fragrance
• No ingredients/shelf life mentioned on the bottle
• Availability in India

IMBB Rating: 3/5. I have deducted the points only for its poor staying power and mild fragrance.

Would I recommend Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist?

It is both Yes and No.
If you are a starter who wants to try citrus fragrances, go for it.
If you are a true mandarin fragrance lover, then you can skip this as the fragrance is very mild.

Will I repurchase Bath and Body Works Pear Blossom Air Fine Fragrance Mist?

No! This will last forever and by the time I finish this BBW will definitely come up with a new range.
