Bath and Body Works Vanilla Verbena Stress Relief Body Lotions Review

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Body Lotions (Stress Relief)

Hey!
I hope everyone is ready for some lotion reviews! I recently started Accutane for my acne. This drug basically stops your oil glands from making oils (EEK!) resulting in acne free skin and of course EXTREMELY DRY SKIN! I normally have oily skin and therefore never even used body lotions or anything. I always felt very greasy afterwards, but now I can’t live without it. I went out a few weeks ago to buy tons of different body lotions. So if you have dry skin or someone who just wants to have silky smooth skin, keeping reading. In this post I will be reviewing the Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy body lotions in Stress Relief.

My Take on Bath and Body Works Vanilla Verbena Stress Relief Body Lotions :

The consistency of both lotions is the same and the claims they make are true. The actual texture in my opinion is a cross between a lotion and body cream. My skin feels so smooth and silky afterwards! For me the selling point is that the effect of the lotion last throughout the day, which it definitely does. After rubbing the lotion into the skin, it gives the skin a nice sheen but it doesn’t feel greasy. The actually container itself are very pretty and made from glass which is a thumbs up.

Scent wise, I prefer the Vanilla Verbena. It is light but calming and love how the smell lingers throughout the day and doesn’t interfere with the scent of your perfume. The Eucalyptus Spearmint scent is nice but very overpowering. When my mother first smelled it, she got a huge headache (OUCH!). Personally, I don’t think the smell is bad, but a bit too strong and masculine for my liking. Maybe it would be a perfect body lotion for a man.

One thing that really is a downside for me with these lotions is that it makes my clothes “stick” to my body. I’m sure we had that moment where you put lotion all over your legs then when you try to put on pants, the denim kind of “sticks” to the body and you have a hard try pulling the pants up. I live in a state where the temperature reaches 90-100 degrees, so the “sticky” feeling really isn’t appealing.
Overall, these are nice moisturizing lotions that smell great, but I don’t think I would repurchase them. I use body lotion all over my body every single day and I probably would finish one bottle in about 2. $13 for 2 weeks is a bit too much to pay.
