Today, I am reviewing the last Aloe Gel lotion from my Bath and Body Works Hawaii collection haul. This is the Waikiki Beach Coconut Aloe Gel Lotion. I have already reviewed the Maui Mango Surf and Kauai Lei Flower Aloe Gel lotions from the same collection. Mostly Bath and Body works makes those Shea and Vitamin E Body lotions which are more of cream-based lotions. However, with the Hawaii collection, they have launched the Aloe Gel lotions which are lighter. Read on to find out more.

My experience with Bath and Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Aloe Gel Lotion:
I have the travel version of the gel lotion and it comes in a very cute mint green and blue colored plastic flip-top tube. It has a shiny dark green look on it. Overall, the tube looks very cute and attractive and reminds me of tropical forests. The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly. It is also available in a bigger 5.6floz variant.
Waikiki Beach Coconut as the name implies is coconut all the way. Bath and Body works mentions that there are other fragrance notes like bamboo, jasmine, salt water breeze etc. But the first whiff of this fragrance is pure strong coconut. As the day progresses, I can smell a little bit of a woody fragrance from the bamboo. Also, the coconut scent becomes milder through the day. Overall, a fragrance which I felt was strong and quite one-dimensional. It will probably appeal more to coconut lovers. Those of you who like more complex and multi-layered fragrances might not find this exciting.
The fragrance lingers on my body for 2-3 hrs. But you can layer it from other products from the same fragrance line to make it last longer.
Texture and Performance:
The aloe gel lotion is light mint green in color and has a gel-like consistency. Since this lotion is a water based lotion, it feels very light and spreads easily on the skin. It gets absorbed easily and does not leave any greasy or sticky residues. But at the same time, it moisturizes pretty effectively and makes my skin soft and supple. This lotion would be a great option to use in the hot summer months. I would not recommend it for winters or dry skinned beauties.
To summarize, this aloe gel lotion is a very good option to keep your skin well-nourished during the Spring/Summer months. Coconut lovers – you need not look any further.
Pros of Bath and Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Aloe Gel Lotion:
• Moisturizes well
• Gets absorbed easily in the skin
• Attractive and sturdy packaging
• Great option for spring / summer.
Cons of Bath and Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Aloe Gel Lotion:
• Might not be suitable for extremely dry skin or winters.
• Has a strong coconut fragrance which not all may like.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Bath and Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Aloe Gel Lotion?
Yes, this is a pretty effective water-based lotion and if coconuts are your thing, you will surely love it.
I did not like the fragrance so much and hence will not repurchase this variant.
