Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Chamomile Body Wash and Foam Bath Review

Body Skin Type – Normal

Other than Vanilla, if there is one fragrance I totally dig in, is lavender. When I found a variant of lavender and chamomile shower gel by BBW, I knew I had to get to it for the lavender, chamomile would come in as bonus. I got this body wash and the sugar scrub from the Aromatherapy Sleep range of Bath & Body Works. Read on to know how this fared for me.

My Experience with Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Chamomile Body Wash and Foam Bath:

The packaging of the Aromatherapy range is different compared to the regular line of BBW body washes. These look like mature elder sister of the cool funky regular line of the body washes by BBW. I quite like it, although a pump dispenser would have been definitely better. The transparent plastic bottle is sturdy enough but the black plastic cap looks a bit flimsy; but as long as it doesn’t break off, no complains. Being bulky, I would definitely not call this travel friendly.

The texture of the body wash is thicker than regular washes and is transparent. I need a little bit more of the product each time, as it takes some effort to foam up otherwise. It lathers up well when used with a loofah. Also this doubles up as nice shaving foam so I am happy with the multi tasking product. Worth mention is the non-drying effect on the skin, although it completely takes away grime and dirt off the skin.

The fragrance is breath taking and for lavender lovers like me it is jus WOW! It smells absolutely awesome and I can sniff this baby all day long. If you are not fond of lavender then please stay away because the chamomile fragrance gets subdued in the aura of the lavender fragrance.

The fragrance stays on for good 2-3 hours, after which it fades away. I believe layering on the fragrance with body lotion/cream from the same range would extend the staying powering of the fragrance. Regarding the sleep claim, I feel a shower gel cannot determine the sleep but since lavender has calming properties, it definitely calms and soothes the body and mind and aids in relaxation.
