Bath and Body Works Carried Away Fragrance Mist Review

Bath and Body Works Carried Away Fragrance Mist Review

I would be reviewing another product from Bath and Body Works.  I like this brand for their variety, cuteness and price.  However, it is very unfortunate that this brand is not available in many countries, only a couple of countries have these.  I received some products around 5-6 months ago from a friend returning from Hawaii and I have been using them these past few months, but not too regularly as I don’t like to use highly-fragranced shower gels and lotions just before bedtime. I have already reviewed the Carried Away Shower Gel and Carried Away is one of the fragrance lines that I like from Bath and Body Works.  I had very high expectations from the brand, Bath and Body Works before starting to use them, but some of their fragrances are way too sweet or artificial for me.  “Carried Away” however is sweet but not overpowering and wakes me up in the mornings. I love using the shower gel and body mist from this range and it is perfect for summer/spring.  Like I mentioned in the Carried Away Shower Gel review, the title reminds me about holidaying in a tropical island.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Carried Away Fragrance Mist:

As mentioned in my previous Bath and Body Works Carried Away review, I love the fragrance. The fragrance has raspberry, pear, jasmine and freesia among others and overall is a refreshing, sweet, girly, summer scent, which is not too overpowering. I always use this mist after using the shower gel from the same fragrance line as it makes the fragrance stay longer. When I first sprayed this mist, I was overcome by the sweetness and it was really over the top.

Fragrance Mist 5

The main notes were raspberries, but after a couple of seconds, it dries down to a powdery, happy, summer fragrance, which is floral as well as fruity; however, compared to Victoria’s Secret body mists, these don’t smell strongly of alcohol.

Spray Mist

The mist comes in a plastic, sturdy, lightweight bottle with a fine mist spray.  However, compared to the gel and lotion, the packaging is quite plain. It looks cute because it comes in a rectangular-shaped bottle; however, is quite plain looking compared to the shower gel and lotion. I initially thought that only the travel size mist bottles from Carried Away came in plain packaging; however, what I have here is a full size version.

Only the new signature series (which is the same formula) come in a more colourful packaging.

Yays for Bath and Body Works Carried Away Fragrance Mist:

  • Comes in a cute blue plastic bottle which can easily be carried around in my handbag.
  • Smells of raspberries with a hint of floral notes (Freesia) and is a sweet but not overpowering smell.
  • I have sprayed this on skin as well as on clothes and this does not sting or cause any allergies or cause any discolouration.
  • The “Carried away” fragrance has shower gel, lotion, body butter as well as EDT for layering.
  • Fragrance is not overpowering and will be apt for sweet fruity/floral lovers.

Nays for Bath and Body Works Carried Away Fragrance Mist:

  • Might be too sweet for people who prefer mature musky fragrances or crispy clean ocean fresh fragrances.
  • Not easily available in all countries.
