Bath and Body Works Carried Away Shower Gel Review

Bath and Body Works Carried Away Shower Gel Review

I would love to review a Bath and Body Works Shower Gel today and it is called “Carried Away.” I bought this online and it was one of the very first purchases from Bath and Body Works.  I was introduced to this brand by one of my friends who got me some gifts from Hawaii after a holiday.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Carried Away Shower Gel:

This is my very first shower gel from Bath and Body Works.  I purchased this after receiving the mist from the same range from a friend returning after a holiday in Hawaii.  I also got some other gifts.  This shower gel comes in full size and what I noticed first was the shape of the bottle. Unlike other shower gels which come in straight bottles, this one has a curve shape.  This is such a clever idea because we can easily grab this shower gel in the shower.

Additionally, the body lotions also come in similar-shaped bottles.  I find this feature very easy to use and helpful.

The second cute thing? Have a look at the label, all I can see and feel is happiness.  It has colourful, long-stemmed flowers which spell spring/summer.  One of my cousins’ toddler, a two year old, would always try to grab this particular bottle from my shower.  I think she is immensely attracted to this bottle because of the labeling.  The name of this line is “Carried Away” and when I think of the phrase “Carried Away,” I think of hubby and myself holidaying alone in a tropical island in Tahiti, Cook islands and the likes 😛

The shower gel itself is colourless, even the the bottle is of light blue colour, ocean blue colour.  It has a flip top cap and is very easy to get product out, bottle also is very sturdy. The fragrance has raspberry, pear, jasmine and freesia among others and overall is a refreshing sweet girly summer scent.  The gel lathers very well and only a small amount is needed each time. After using this shower gel around 8-10 times already, see how much is left.  The shower smells very nice for some time after I shower and the scent lingers for a couple of hours on my skin.  I of course like to top it off with lotion and mist to reinforce the fragrance.

Carried Away Shower Gel 6

I am happy with this fragrance line and also this particular gel.  I am into floral, girly scents but stay away from “too sweet” scents, which make me feel like a pre teen.  This particular shower gel is sweet without being overpowering and I am liking it a lot.  It also doesn’t make my skin dry at all even though it lathers well.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Carried Away Shower Gel:

  • Cleverly shaped bottle, easy to use in the shower.
  • Lathers well, but does not dry skin.
  • The lotion and mist/EDT in the same fragrance can be used for layering.
  • The fragrance is girly, sweet and extremely refreshing for summer (and spring).

Cons of Bath and Body Works Carried Away Shower Gel:

  • Contains a whole lot of chemicals as well as colouring agents.
  • Available only in a limited number of countries.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.

Would I Recommend Bath and Body Works Carried Away Shower Gel?

I would recommend this to anyone who likes to try Bath and Body Works shower gels.
