by Tusharika N.
Hey Lovely Ladies,
Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2015! Stay Beautiful!
Today, I will review a lip gloss from the Liplicious range of the brand Bath & Body Works. I got this product as a gift from a cousin in USA. Let’s find out whether this gloss is really true to its name “Liplicious”.
Product Description:
The ultimate beauty treat for your lips in an irresistibly fun, fashionable and flirty gloss. Our moisturizing formula, now with conditioning B2, delivers the perfect combination of ultra-sheer pink color, mouth-watering flavor and high-glistening shine. A must-have accessory for lips!
- A girlishly flirty, sheer, candy pink.
- The candy-sweet flavor of spun sugar, without the sticky fingers.
Usage:
Smooth onto lips as needed for moisture, shine & a hint of color. Wear it alone or over your fave lip color.
Price:
$7.50 for 0.47 oz/ 14ml approx. (I got it as a Gift)

My Experience with Bath & Body Works Liplicious Lip Gloss in Cotton Candy.
The Bath & Body Works Liplicious lip gloss range has a variety of glosses that are all scented and usually inspired by a fruit, food or a drink. The gloss, Cotton Candy looks like a really pretty sheer, light pink colour from outside, but turns out to be clear with tons of fine sparkles in it. Personally, I don’t like to wear sheer or clear lip gloss by itself. I find this lip gloss sticky and the smell is really bothersome for my liking. It doesn’t smell like cotton candy at all and tastes like pure sugar. It smells like some weird type of sweet scent which is difficult to describe.
The formula is pretty thick and sticky though it is smooth on lips, as well as moisturizing. This gloss doesn’t bleed or settle in fine lines on lips. It also gives mirror shine to lips. It lasts about an hour, but glitter particles just refuse to go away. I have to use an oil based makeup remover and a lip scrub to get rid of the glitters.
As for packaging, it comes in a cute transparent tube with a screw cap. I have the older packaging of the tube. It is easy to apply the gloss with the slanted tube applicator and one can control the amount of gloss by pressing the tube accordingly. This also avoids wastage of the product.
I don’t usually wear it alone on lips. I use it over lipsticks or tinted lip balm for that extra shine and plump effect on the lips. It looks really pretty over shades of pink or peach however, it can work for most shades due to its clear formula.
Bath and Body Works usually has sales on the lip glosses, like 3 for $15, but they are quite expensive if not on sale. Even currently, they are on ‘Buy 2 get 1 free’ offer on the Bath and Body Works website.
I prefer other Bath & Body Works Liplicious glosses like Whipped Vanilla, Black Cherry and Dark Kiss, but this one has the worst smell, flavour and colour (rather no colour).
Pros of Bath & Body Works Liplicious Lip Gloss in Cotton Candy:
- Moisturizing.
- Cute packaging.
- Doesn’t bleed.
- Gives mirror shine to lips.
- Not tested on animals.
Cons of Bath & Body Works Liplicious Lip Gloss in Cotton Candy:
- Clear gloss with tons of sparkles.
- Expensive at $7.5.
- Very less staying power.
- Strong weird smell.
- Not available in India.
- Sticky.
- Cannot be used alone on pigmented lips.
Final Verdict: If you are looking for a sheer lip product and you like scented ones, then you can try Bath & Body Works Liplicious lip gloss in Cotton Candy.
IMBB Rating:
2/5
Would I recommend Bath & Body Works Liplicious Lip Gloss in Cotton Candy?
No, I barely use it so would not recommend it. I would rather get one that adds more colour to my lips.

I know.. Same here..this is worst out of the BBW range
I dont wear such clear ones too 🙁
Even I think its pointless to wear clear glosses..
Oops, that’s a miss, I do like clear glosses, but this one is a miss!
Moreover the sparkles makes it useless..
I prefer doe-foot applicators. However, nice review Tusharika 🙂
